please let me know what you think

do you know, when charged fully for how long this battery sustains the charge when unused. I am just thinking if this is not used regularly and kept as a backup for occasional use instead. heat added for good price.

I keep mine hooked up to my pc when ever I'm not using it so that it's always fully charged.

I disagree, this is a great item to have as the iphone's battery is so poor that if you're using it an longer than 12 hours it'll probably need charged so this is handy to have.

I'm not certain how this work - do you keep it attached to use your phone or do you attach it for a set period to recharge your phone?
#9
it's just like inserting a battery. you charge it up and keep it for when you need it. when you need it you simply stick it into your iphone, etc and you have a full battery to use for however long it lasts. it's just an emergency charge.

They sell for this money on ebay but for £3 or £4 more (on Amazon) you can get a 1900mah battery which will give a couple of charges at least.

They are not ideal for Ipod Touch as they cover the earphone socket.

I dont often post on HUKD just browse but decided to leave a word of warning for this type of product:

Me and my brother both received third-party iphone charges that look exactly like the one in the picture and the results weren't pretty. We both own 3GS Iphones, when my brother plugged in his charger to try it out he looked back at the iphone and it had shut down and refused to switch back on - he had to get a replacement. When I plugged mine in my iphone it would constantly give me messages that the device was incompatible but I just kind of expected that from a third party device.. after hearing what happened with my brother I threw mine straight in the bin

Just a word of warning. It may be fine with this as it looks like a different company selling them, but from the picture it looks exactly the same as the device I received. Avoid.

By an Original Apple iPhone 3.7V Rechargeable Battery from DealExtreme:

3G - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.33175
3GS - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.33174

and follow this to change it:

It's like taking candy from a baby, very easy, treat the battery better this time round and it should last you another year or so!.... if your iphone is jailbroken, get "SBSettings" from Cydia and always close your apps (processes) when done with them properly and not just let them run in the background (saves more battery)

Ta rA.... i know it's irelevant to this item but thought to share some light =)

From people who actually own it, what is the best iPhone battery pack? I know there are ones that add on to the bottom, and ones that are built-in to an iphone case....but which brand/model is the highest rated?

Sexy... would love to see this in public transport...

I paid a hefty sum for a juicepack last year - I use the sleeve version - it doubles the battery life but also charges an uncharged phone - therefore if you keep the sleeve charged and the battery runs down you can put it straight on and start using it on the move.

In an ideal world you would keep the iphone fully charged but for peace of mind I prefer to know I have two bites of the cherry

i got this from the same website:
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_12&products_id=107207
and i must say i am incredibly impressed by them. They can be charged by solar power, and even in the U.K surprisingly it does charge!!, or they can be charged using the USB cable as you would with ur iPhone. I would say that they charge the phoone battery to around 50% from 10% so around 40% battery usage. I just leave it on the windowsill, when i wake up, take it with me, and when the phones charge is low, just plug and recharge!! BTW the image shown on the site seems hideous, but the one i received was a lot nicer, sleeker and aesthetically pleasing!!

Good price! I think I'm gonna have to look at some sort of external battery like this as I always run low on battery!

Must be all my hotdeals surfing at work! Haha
