good price, for any petrol mower
#2
Looks good price this thanks op, heat added.
#3
Looks good to me, heat added.

I went for the self propelled and got it for £105 delivered with staff discount, but this is a cracking deal for the basic model. Staff would get this for £63, plus quidco and double points.
#5
Unbeatable at this money I'd have thought.
#6
i got this last time around... still goin strong, no probs
#7
I went with the electric one with strimmer for £47, added another item to make it upto £50 and got a refund on the extra item so to use the £10 code. After quidco it cost £33.42 and earned enough CC points to get £4 back in deals. Although it is quite heavy
#8
Just ordered, many thanks, we were just looking at the electric mowers in Tesco today. Got staff discount too, so a great result.
#9
cheers big ears

I brought a 'cheap' petrol lawn mower 3 years ago, leave in back garden all year round and still going strong. Hot for me
#11
Ordered. Sick to death of messing with cables whilst trying to mow. Will be half the time with this. Now for a strimmer...

Cheers Ebeneezer :{

Good price but not self-propelled is a no-go for me.

They have the self propelled one at £118. At 30kg and a slope in my garden, I have to agree with you.
#16
Are these 4 stroke or 2 stroke?
#17
Im guessing they 150cc 4 strokes like argos cheapies. By the way the argos self propelled one is £119.99 so A quid more but easier to buy

self propelled would be nice, been mowing banking all week with a push mower and did my aunties garden today with a horrible flymo. If you can afford self prop then buy it
#20

Heres hoping they turn up! My collection is tomorrow after 4pm.
Seen some comments that recommend you check the oil before starting, as although they come pre filled with oil, if they have been stored on there side, it may have leaked out.
Good idea to check anyway I guess!

you sure they are prefilled with oil? in my experience they usually come empty my last one did from homebase and one of the reviews also said theirs did not have any oil in.You will have to buy a special oil as well not just 15/40 car oil.As you said definately check. The other person who asked if it is 2 or 4 stroke,it will be a four stroke so no mixing oil and petrol before filling it up.

Just got it from a comment on the link to Ask an Owner from the items page on Tescos.
http://mark.reevoo.com/reevoomark/en-GB/product?sku=62557001&retailer=TSC&badge_style=tesco-rvm_aao_feb2011&tab=ask_an_owner

Wouldn't trust it though. Would always check first.

Looks like its out of stock again

Collected mine. Looks like it has some oil in it. But wouldn't suprise me if it sloshed around and some leaked out. Rained a little here and didn't get petrol, so i'll have to wait a while to test it out.

Both self propelled and manual out of stock now. Expired
#35
Received the mower yesterday and hubby is over the moon with it. Cuts a boggy lawn really well and no annoying cables to get in the way. It does not come with oil in it which is probably best as it would pour out when stored. This is our first petrol mower, i very much doubt we will go back to electric.
#36
When your engine dies out or it refuses to start after 5 or 6 mows you will be back to electric soon enough as they are cheaper and only down side is the cables

Cables which I manage to cut through nearly every time I took my electric mower out!! I reckon it was cursed that mower, although I did the same to my hedge-trimmers and ended replacing with petrol hedge-trimmers and strimmer.

So have done the same with this, got this at the full £100 though yesterday but doubled clubcard vouchers up to pay towards it, so cost me £40 cash.

Really easy to assemble (2 screws, then the thumb bolts on the handle - thats it)

Add approx 400ml oil (probably a little less as there is a small amount in it), add petrol, press the primer bulb a few times and pull the cord which needs very little travel, starts first pull each time once you remember to prime it!

Gotta take a walk to the petrol station later as I only had a small amount of petrol in my can, literally under 200ml and it did my front lawn of about 25sq m and still had a bit left.

Wheels easily adjust, the lowest setting is too low for me, but maybe on a near bowling green quality lawn that is dead level this would be ideal, I used the middle setting myself.

My rating so far would be excellent.

Anyone know how much it will cost to stick a fivers worth of fuel in my jerry can these days?

Just to note, the mower is fantastic, had a couple of runs now on both back and front which I keep at different lengths and switching height is a breeze and takes no time.

I can do both lawns in less time than it too me before to just dig out the extension, thread it through a open window plug it in, plug the mower in etc never mind then doing the same on the other side of the house!!
