Modern Dual Line kites, also known as stunt, sport or trick kites, are simple to launch, control & land making them perfect for beginners. They’re great fun & will include our FREE starter kit (lines, handles & instructions) so it’s ready to use straight out of the box.

Foil kites, also called power kites, come in various shapes & sizes; the bigger the kite the more power it produces. 2 line foil kites are typically used for recreational flying, where it’s possible for the flyer to skid along the ground, but for more extreme power, landboarding & kite buggying we would recommend using 4 lines.

Quad line flying is quite different from flying a two line kite. Rather than pulling the lines together to control speed, the handles have to be tilted together, and rather than pulling them differentially to perform a turn, they have to be tilted differentially. Experienced two line flyers normally take a little while to adjust as they have to counter all their acquired habits. Since a quad line kite can be made to go backwards as well as forwards, if it crashes upside down, it can be relaunched as easily as the right way up (provided you can work out which way to turn the handles!) A four line kite can do things no other kite can, and it's an experience not to be missed.

The 3m isn't BOGOF is it?
#7
These seem to be a bargain, I have ordered 2 lots, however, they are not showing as BOGOF's in the checkout page, so see if I get 4 or 2. I am into power kites, and Radsail are a decent make, £7.50 a kite is unbeleivable !
#8
Do I order 2 or one?

Also, which kite would be the best in the most windy condition, since they are different shapes?
#9
Thanks

Have bought the one reduced from £40 to £15.

I put 1 in the basket as it says BOGOF so assume that 2 will arrive.

Should be good fun. :-D

Oh how I wish my kids hadn't grown up - AND had daughters, all THREE of 'em.

Can't justify buying one for me - or can I?

Just spotted.
Reading the blurb on the £50 reduced to £15 kite (Last one)

Also some pretty good feedback on the Company.

Though much of it is quite old now.

Depending on the kite

Is it possible to lose your wee nephew in high winds?

Despite the Radsail banner directly above these, they are all mostly not Radsail, they seem to be from a manufacturer in China by the looks of it

I bought 1 plus 1 free of this one http://www.kiteol.net/SPEED/KM5062w.htm

Well worth £15 minus £1.50 Quidco

I think :)

I've been doing some reading on these kites. They typically score around 4-5/10 for performance and quality.
The biggest issue is they are made from Nylon and NOT Rip-Stop Nylon.
They represent good value for money but don't expect the performance of kites costing 10 or 20x more in that size range.

Please let us know how they fly especially the 4 and 6m versions.
#21
Just remember they are only costomh £7.50 each!
#22
got mine today bargin, don't need 2 mind. :P
#23
got my today, will test then soon
#24
mine have just arrived.... must admit not the most up market of packaging but for 7.50 each and DHL'd to my door I'm very happy

.....esp since they aer now £25 on the cybercheckout website !!!
#25
Anybody got any test flight results?

Might make me go get them out the boot of my car and find me some wind :p

Hi

Have just got back from our first go with the kite. It's the first time it's been warm enough and windy enough since before Xmas!!

Setting it up was very simple once I realised that all you had to do was to tie the cord on the hand controls into a knot on the cord on the kite. For some reason I was expecting a catch mechanism and thought it was missing.

Once on the field it was easy to use but maybe not as powerful as I had imagined. I'd got images of the wind really pulling me but in the end I felt it was safe enough to let my 9 year olds fly it in a force 6 wind without me holding on. It was responsive to left and right pulls but it maybe didn't have the power of a stuntkite

It is worth the money but feel that maybe I should have gone for something a bit more powerful.

Hope this helps.

gobbyash :-D
