£10.88 included p&p, i got a £2.50 code so takes it down to £8.38

Any Free P&P codes before i go ahead ?!
#6
no prime offer?

I don't think this comes with the display that shows how fast it is going. Whats the cheapest price for one of those, or are you better off getting one of these and getting the display separately?
#8
The counters are £11.99 from the Powerball website - probably cheaper elsewhere though...

I think this is ok if you are using one of these balls for therepy or something but if using for fun / competition you need the computer. Still not a bad price so I am going to vote neutral!

They sell the Red Neon with counter for £14.99 - not sure if thats a good deal? I bought one of them and a basic blue screamer at 4.99 so I can try both out!

Basically it's a ball within a ball. You spin it in your hand, and the faster it goes the more pressure it puts on your arm. Apparently it's good for your wrist and perhaps even shoulder and arm.

I'd love to get one myself but I really think I need the counter on it. Trying to set new records will definitely motivate me more.

Perfect for golfers, musicians, squash, tennis, fencing, basketball, badminton, archery, cricket etc
Use for rehabilitation and relief from carpal tunnel syndrome and RSI.
The 250Hz Powerball comes without a digital speedmeter/counter, but it can be added later if required
Addition of a series of precision drilled holes in the rotor to enhance that jet fighter sound
Best for Extreme Powerballers
Not suitable for Children Under 14yrs

Manufacturer's Description

Powerball is the world's most powerful hand gyroscope, generating speeds of over 16,000 rpm! Simply by starting up the Powerball in your hand and rotating your wrist faster you can develop incredible speeds and increase your strength. Powerball is seriously addictive for all ages, making it ideal for play, exercise, or fun competitions.
Powerball is a dynamic and completely revolutionary new gyroscope that literally explodes with mind-numbing torque and inertia once you activate its internal rotor. It's about the same size as a tennis ball and weighs just a little more, but take a Powerball in your hand, set that rotor in motion with the cord provided (or use your finger when you get used to it) and you'll experience an extraordinary sensation. Powerball slowly comes alive with gyroscopic force - a sublime yet pleasant resistance to your movement which is transmitted directly into your wrist and arms and which provides soothing, non impact rehabilitation at these lower speeds.

Bring your new Powerball up to 10,000rpm, the forces are now much stronger, much more vibrant. Higher! Take it right up to an unbelievable 15,000rpm at which point it's exerting almost 40lbs of pressure on your limbs and is travelling at nearly 250 revolutions per second. No batteries, no motor, just pure gyroscopic power

thanks for the info, i just wondered as my sons do alot of sports.

Although it's a great price I think that personally I'd prefer it not to scream and needs a counter.

Voted hot tho

"OK add P&P if under £15 total or buy 3"

Won't you have to buy 4 to get the price over £15?

No, Amazon are pretty good when it comes to the £15 free P&P, I've been a few pence short of the limit in the past and they've let me have free P&P anyway.

what a naff video, does it just glow in the dark?!
#20
wil it help finger strength
#21
what is the 2.50 code
#22
WARNING this is the screamer model, it is designed to make a loud whine when in use and is not recommended to anyone planning to use it for more than 30 seconds at a time ie someone who wants it for genuine rehab purposes ;)

yes but it is not recommended for people who are still developing I think they recommend 16 years of age or over for regular use.

Yes, you can hold these with your fingertips although you have to be so careful just one small drop can ruin a powerball - as I have found out to my cost! Spares are available however.

I bought one of these a while back; biggest waste of money ever! Might as well have thrown my money in the fire & burnt it!

Strings broke within a few days & as for muscle development - well, let's just say my six year old daughter moved it around without a problem!

So - my advice would be to give this one a miss - unless you really, really want one. If that's the case, GO FOR IT!!!!

Voted neutral on this as the offer is good even though the product wasn't!
#26
Is this version loud when your using it?
Would it annoy others around you while using it?
#27
would it be worth it to buy the one with the counter and this one just to get free delivery?
i'm interested, but not v.interested in the delivery

You obvious don't understand the way to use it proporly. The more effort you put into the ball, the more resistance the ball gives in return. That's why it can be used for both rehibiliation/relaxation or for strength training/toning.
While I've never had a problem with the string, a great part of powerballing for beginners is the moment they can start a PB without the string.

As for the screamer product, I think it's the worse one ever. :x
This is because I actually want one that is actually quieter then my current neon version. The thought of one that actually goes louder sucks, taking it outside already draws a bit of attention, I don't really want any more. At home I want to at least hear my TV as I tend to use it at home sitting on the sofa watching TV (, to be honest I already use headphones to listen to the TV while using my PB).

On a final note, LordSoth, if you don't want you PB, maybe you can sell it to me (as long as it's not a screamer)?

While I don't recommend the Screamer, I do recommend the counter if you buy the powerball.
The counter can be use to record you high scores, and also time your endurance runs or used to note your personal progression. If you intend to use it with other people, it's a good way to compete for high scores
I bought my neon version (it lights up), last november from play.com for around £15, which I also got a free gift (leather pouch).
