help asthmatics?

I am an asthmatic and I bought one of these from Lloyds chemist several months ago for about a fiver. The concept seems sound - basically forcing you to breathe deeply and making it harder for you to breathe in. After using it your lungs do feel tired so assume they have had a workout!
Unfortunately I somehow got sand in mine so I dont use it anymore (i didnt realise there was sand in it until I sucked in, which was a rather unpleasant!).
Overall I'd say it probably strengthens your lungs over time, but you need to stick with it, and I didnt have the patience to do so!
Hope that helps

These are abit gimmicky, not really worth £15! Fiver tops imo.

Mine is gathering dust somewhere.
