GREAT PRICE!

Any idea how noisy this thing is. Someone referred to a "barely audible fan". But does the fan auto-throttle based on usage? Most of the time when my PC is on its a lowly net browsing machine. Occasionally though I want to be able to run FSX on full graphics settings, so need the additional GPU power. Any tips on this card?

Was looking at a HD 5570 for £60, but http://www.emsai.net/reviews/gpu/ suggests that ain't going to be quite up to it. Although I did find one with only a passive heat sink, which was appealing(!) As long as the fan is quiet, I don't mind spending £15 more on this more impressive card.

Cheers!

Just bought one. Hot from me!

BTW: Regarding noise, one reviewer on eBuyer simply said of it: "Plays most games at high settings and it is very quiet too"

Depends on the resolution, if you're running at 1024x768 probably, show it a 1080p or 1200p screen and it will struggle.

Love HUKD, a month ago I post about HD5770 only sold for £10 more and it got 27 degrees. Considering HD5750's performance per pound is comparatively lower (e.g.: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5770,2446-6.html)cold for me.

This card should be selling for significantly less.

So its cold on the basis that you are upset that your post didnt do very well? If you dont like the product or think something is better then thats your opinion but surely you shouldnt be voting cold unless you can find this card cheaper elsewhere???

Just a thought.....

Why? Lowest price rubbish is still rubbish.
Not personally saying the 5750 isn't any good, but if Radekstepan reckons there's a better card for barely any more then this card isn't value for money, so isn't hot.
It's not always "If you can't find cheaper then must vote hot", otherwise we could do away with the site entirely and just have a crawl that'd find the cheapest things around and automatically rank them. Opinion is key.

I am of this opinion.

Just today I was looking for a cheap netbook. I found a great price for a Samsung model but after finding out it cost the same amount of money 4 months ago and, being advertised on HUKD, it was not a hot deal, I did not go for it.

And no, I was not disappointed my deal was not hot, because others found a suitable alternative.

When comparing graphics cards I find Tom's Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart useful btw:

Not worth it i would pay the little extra for a 5770 this card is slower and not much cheaper and with the 560gtx out the 460gtx 768mb wont be a lot more but is way more powerful the other problem with this is the brand, its rubbish.

not much more?

460 GTX 768mb is about £120,so £45 more
not saying its not a good card,i run a 1gb 460,but there comes a point when you have to cut at your price point

I bought the xfx 512mb version of this last week from ccl for £60. Absolutely delighted with it. Plays COD black ops very smoothly! Even runs perfectly on my 300w PSU which I was a bit worried about.

Highly recommend (and a steal at the £60.06 I paid from CCL
