Make sure you plug the overflow before using these!

Item works well but be aware that these have been available in the pound shop!

In fact the item works too well.. popped one of the plastic pipe joints when I used it..

Voted HOT, works well, just watch the overflow and don't press down to hard as you could blow a fitting joint.

Had a very similar experience.
Started getting water coming out from a plastic pipe joint.
Just take it easy when you use it

As you mentioned this device can make a fitting leak.
I personally use a pvc pipe cleaner available from any builders merchant.
Safe, biodegradable and does not break the fittings.

The Mr Muscle one works well.. only one I've ever had to use.. so I guess thats a good sign

First I'd recommend a plumber's snake which you can get from Ebay or most DIY/hardware stores.

Second I'd Recommend a wire coat hanger if you dont want to buy a Plumbers snake.

Try a good quality thick bleach like Domestos, leave overnight and it will break down the organic matter. Might have to repeat on a couple of occasions depends on how choked the trap is. IMO i wouldn't bother with proprietory brands like Mr Muscle.

Soda crystals would work quite well also, a packet is about 70p in supermarkets, put it into the drain and wash down with hot water should help unblock pipes and its not bad for the environment!

Not much cop in my opinion, for the extra couple of quid this is much better as it shifts a much larger amount of water with as much or as little force as needed.

Got one from Wickes for about £8 and works really well on my shower tray.

Tried the Mr Muscle stuff and foam etc and never really works as well.
