Just saw this and i have to say i think it sounds brilliant! Seems a great accessory for those who are off to festivals for this summer, take this with you and solar charge up and you can recharge your phone. On a plane out camping. Perhaps im just excited over nothing but for £12 i dont think you can go wrong.

only heard bad things about this kind of product so would be interested in hearing if anyone has used one.

i think at uk festivals you may be better taking a rain/mud powered charger......:D lets hope this weather holds out and i am wrong!

this also shows as £19.17 once at checkout with Vat and del.

2 things about this, excluding VAT its today only it is 11.99 with vat, and the second thing is i didnt realise the free delivery is only on orders over £20 so it still is £16.78. However i think its stilla pretty decent deal as its only ever popped up on here for in excess of £20.

Got one of these from scan a few months ago for just under a tenner (collection). There pretty good for charging, helped me out a few times, although you would never be able to charge a iphone 4 times like advertised. I get one a bit max.

Also the charging cable is flimsy, mines a little touch and go whether it works

Looking at the size of it, it seems to be slightly smaller than a 2.5" portable disk drive. So it's got maybe 3 or 4 square inches of solar cell on the front. If you're lucky, you might just get 20mA off the solar cells on a bright and sunny day in england. On that basis it would take 70 hours of full-on sunshine to charge a 1400mAHr iphone battery, once.
In the UK we're lucky to get that much all summer (OK, slight exaggeration). If you want to take it to festivals, I hope it's solar cells work off rain, too.
