It's a fairly good deal, but I'd be interested to know what charger it comes with?
I take it you haven't followed the link?

No, I already own both of these tools - or similar versions.

It's a fairly good deal, but I'd be interested to know what charger it comes with?

I have both the 1820 charger and the 1860 - the 1860 charges at more than twice the speed. 4Ah 18v batt takes c.35 to 40 minutes with 1860, a fairly rapid turn around.
Given that 2 4.0ah Bosch batteries plus a charger cost well over £100 (£130 at Amazon at the moment, after a recent price drop), this is a good price for this level of gear (which not everyone needs!). It's not the deal of the centry, but it very good for who wants this kit, or level of kit

This deal is also available (on the same site) with a beefier drill (http://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/bosch-gsb-18-ve-2-li-18v-combi-drill-impact-driver-l-boxx-2x4ah)
Verbal.Kint
Don't forget TCB at 4.04%, that takes it to a tad under £200.
Seems like a great price.
Can never get why people vote cold without giving a reason, seems like they just run past the front page randomly voting. Bosch is German so it's cold mentality.
That's exactly what happens and possibly moreso at the weekend where a lot of 'drive by cold voters' just hit cold on pretty much everything unless they personally are interested in an item.

People that wouldn't buy this vote cold regardless of whether it's a good deal or not... they might vote hot on a £30 bottom of the range nicad drill though, coz it's cheap.

I bought a similar one from Screwfix at around the £120 mark. Use it for QCing of tradesmens work but also for simple things like towel rails. When neither your floors or ceilings are straight and level like this old house, it's a godsend. You can place pencil marks directly on the laser line.
Lazer levels are brilliant, couldn't justify spending this much for myself though.
The quigo is much cheaper for someone looking for just a cross beam laser and not too fussed about the relatively narrow beam spread. This one is 2x more precise, has double the range, and a plumb function... which may be overkill for many (_;)

Edited By: RueFondary on May 14, 2017 00:22
I have a quigo, use it loads! Cost about 40 quid though, not sure how much better this is?
ummm, do I buy this or an over-priced plumb line for a fiver...... unless you are using this very often, it is far too over-priced even if 2 aa batteries are included

brought a stanley laser level years ago, for about £15 thought it was overpriced (but a bargain) and I would hardly use it, so true! this price its not a bargain but day light robbery even if you are in the trade (it is battery operated)

About 5 grams lighter lol. Imperceptible.

Yeah. I think the whole design of their stuff is it fits more than one need. If u need continuous power on a budget stocking several 3ah is the way forward. If money isn't an issue you would choose the 5ah or biggest available. I think weight isn't such an issue. Another issue may be that you work on sites without power in that case I doubt someone would chose the lower ah to allow more working time.
Shinoke
About 5 grams lighter lol. Imperceptible.
OK a very small difference but still lighter and over the course of a day may have a slight effect perhaps! At least my other points that i was confident on are accepted!
About 5 grams lighter lol. Imperceptible.
thespud01
Probably better going for 4ah batteries. 5ah are quite high price as they are newer novelty. U can get any drill as a kit. Fast fix offer multiple configurations of same tool. As I'm sure Amazon and others do. The fast charge time means u could get away with 1 battery. Do a job. 40 mins to charge 4 ah. Cup of coffee and a spot of lunch and u good to go again
Not sure i agree. The 3ah charge very quickly (20 odd mins compared to 40!) which combined with low price makes me think they are a good option. I've got both 3's and 4's. I think the 3's are lighter than the 4's as well. Depends how you use them i suppose. Heavy use then i may agree.
Shinoke
Yeah, I started with no kit so got a full kit, which makes the larger capacity batteries the better choice. I worked out that making the same kit myself with 2 x 2ah batteries would have saved me about £30 or something.

3ah, 4ah, 5ah, and 6ah all weight around the same. Makita say the same but it's about 5-10 grams each time. So virtually the same. Around 600 grams I believe.

2ah is around half the weight I think.

So 3ah seems like a poor investment.

I'd like to get some 2ah as they can be had for around £30, and at around 300 grams I believe would make a notable weight difference for the drill etc.

Waiting for the BL1820B though. So with the battery monitor. They sell them in the US and Asia I think, but not the UK yet. Currently only the old 2ah without the battery montor (BL1820) is available here.

I personally bought a body only dhp458 to do my outside decking and a 4ah. They were cheapest I found when bought separately. But I think there was an offer at the time. I then bought the dhr264 sds which was twin battery so bought the same 4ah to pair up. I since have expanded my tools to about 8-10 makita tools. Only bought a 5ah a week or so ago with £10 discount on Amazon as I started finding I needed a battery for my tools to use while my sds ones charged.

Amazon deal is still active with same price and excellent customer service. What makes this deal better than Amazon's?
A case maybe?
Oh if people could only read...!
I can read. All I said is I thought it was a better deal. As in a better deal overall. Have a look what you get with it.
Remember the VAT on your deal and they're very different in the usability stakes. My one costs about £20 if you sell all the other bits so it's far superior-a-deal IMO

This is just soooo stupid on so many levels, to pay £79 for a CORDED!!! impact driver when you can get for £60 cordless makita with 160nm instead of that parody of 100nm.
seriously who thought that a corded impact driver is a good idea?
Even in the factories where they assemble cars and run them all day long everyday all they use is cordless.

I don't work in a car factory either but I am fairly sure they would use air driven drivers and ratchets.

Unless I'm missing something, this is the cross cut mitre saw, not a sliding saw? Still a decent price but this is a critical feature depending on what you want it for.

Yeah , I think you are missing something. it's a slide mitre saw as in the title. 'slide mitre saw'

Will this have a light on it and shadow line for cutting, if so this is a bargain, cost me that to hire one for a few day when I layed my new wood flooring.

anyone got round to gettig this one? any initial impressions?
shame no-one is doing the DCB102 double charger here at a reasonable price :( 2 x chargers @£25 or 1 x double (albeit with usb charging too @£100 WTF???? )
ive been doing this for last two weeksin readiness, and the batteries for 4ah are best at amazon prime £49 each, the charger is available numerous places at £24-£25 so cheapest way of getting this top of the range drill driver (hammer) as indeed it is the top brushless model.... I'm also after the brushless impact but no deals on that , still cheapest to get singularly but I might wait on a deal for that ... the xr DS150 cases are decent value at £25 too as they are usually a bit more all beit with boxes included whereas theirs is empty

Good price but I would still rate my Makita drills over Bosch any day.

You have right to your opinion.Obviously, the key word here is 'my' :)

Yes. That's why i said my. Quality wise Bosch is fine for occasional DIY jobs but they aren't as robust as pro tools like Makita or Dewalt - hence the massive price difference.
My last Bosch drill still turns fine, but the on/off trigger and variable speed dial broke years ago.
I received mine about 3 days ago. I phoned them last week and was told it had been back ordered and would be delivered this week. I'm very happy with the drill but many people are reporting problems trying to claim the cashback

Received the item today, very happy with the purchase. Looking for guidance from someone else who has benefited from this deal.
I didn't receive a receipt just a delivery note in the box. Likewise only a confirmation email was received upon order.
Anyone know how to claim the cashback from Bosch via the mobile app when no receipt was sent.
Log in into the store account, you will get an option to view or print the invoice.

Thanks for the suggestion but I checked out as a guest and paid via PayPal so I don't have an account. I have just taken a photo of the delivery note which details my name, address and the item. If it is rejected by Bosch I guess my only hope is to email Powertoolworld and request an invoice.
