Seems a reasonable featureset for the price. Any negatives / security issues with using the LV360 access software?

I have made 3 purchases from them and all good. Do they not have a good reputation?

they are fine, 194 orders and only once have I had to get refund. like every Chinese based sellers, some items do get lost or broke in post.

some of the horror stories have them refusing to give full refunds for lost items, instead only agreeing partial refunds etc.

hence why they have insurance for 6p. No quibble when my item arrived slightly scratched, full refund and kept the item.

every Chinese seller has horror stories. Safe bet the people who complain just happen to have several items lost (cough cough)

Thanks OP - Worth noting it doesn't come with a power supply, but if you are like me you have tonnes of usb adapters lying around.
#10
Got similar camera for similar price from Gearbest but without zoom and not that fancy looking
#11
I won't comment on the item. But just to say, this is for a PREORDER item. So on top of the 1 - 2 months it takes to arriv from China, there is however long it will take for the manufacturer to actually make this product and start shipping it.
Order now for christmas ....... 2017.

I hope you have some smoke detectors, something tells me this deal will get hot (literally) really quick.

Cheers OP been wanting something like this to have a play with and at this price worth a punt.
$18.88 dollars. Was going to go for the insurance as stated above at $0.38 but then it kept changing the free standard delivery to another cost $1.38 so gave the insurance a miss.....Paid via PayPal so any snags will claim through them (_;)

Not bad, only £15 wasted too when it doesn't turn up.

This likely to support any standard IP protocol so I can use a pi as a monitor instead of the inevitably crap app that won't work on android x.x?

Ive had a couple of Wifi cameras now, all under £50. They all work fine at the beginning but within a year or thereabouts they get funny or stop working at all, so in my opinion its better to buy these with a retailer like amazon where you can get a refund/replacement further down the line.

I'm taking a gamble on this. Although I work in tech I have no idea how to secure this cam apart from throwing a sock over it. Anyone have links to an easy to follow guide? Thanks in advance

Nah, just that it's subsidised by Paedos of the Orient. Google is your friend.

The power supply is the last thing you'd want to come with it from a cheap as chips seller in China. Not ever likely to have passed safety tests.

does anyone know if you can use a usb wall charger to keep this powered up all time?. and what power it would require for that 5v 2a???

"Power consumption = 3W MAX"

So at 5v, it will draw 0.6amps maximum. So a 600mA or above would be sufficient. 500mA would likely be ok depending how likely it is to need that max draw. I can't see any reason it could not be powered all the time, they are suggesting it for security which would certainly need to be permanently active.

I've pre-ordered one, but am debating pre-ordering a second, but if it turns out crap I would be **** off if I bought two. If it turns out great I am going to be kicking myself if I don't, can't win.

ordered a few as they look ok hopefully they will be ok

Received email from them last night - delay further - offered refund or BG points

I'm cancelling as I'm not willing to wait 2 months for them (if they hit their target release Expected Shipping Date:13th October) I may look at them again after they start getting distributed.

Bought it. Although some of these cameras require you to create an account on some foreign websites and camera will connect there. Not sure if you want them to see what's happening in your house... But Note that I'm not sure this one does.

Just had the dispatch email for my first order. Looks like these are finally on their way.

Nice little video has been added that actually shows it working
YouTube

Looks ok, just a little slow and clunky. Still a bargin

Can the camera definitely be controlled when I'm not connected to my home Wi-Fi, but connected to the internet else where i.e so when I'm at work I can keep an eye on my home and control the camera(s) ......hope so as that's the main reason I bought one

Have you tried using with another app after initial setup? I am curious if it works over Onvif correctly once setup.

Great thanks, just wish it would hurry up and arrive as it's still not been dispatched yet

Thursday mine was saying 'dispatch' and it turned up on sat. Don't use the app they recommend though. I'm using VueSmartHome app. It looks exactly the same but it's less buggy. On the 360eye app I can't view recordings on my iPhone/iPad, but I can on VueSmartHome. Also the connection seems a lot more stable on Vue

I've tried some Onvif and can't get it to work. I can set up easy on some but it won't connect. If you have any joy please let us know.

Thanks, I'll try when it arrives. I got a similar priced Sricam SP012, which works with IP CENTCOM on my laptop and tinyCam Monitor on Android. IP CENTCOM can control movement but doesn't pick up the audio well, tinyCam can pick up the audio but not move the camera. The Sricam app does everything and doesn't look too bad. Be interesting to see how this Digoo compares.

It is on the Windows app store, so need Windows 10 (possibly works on 8 ). I have heard this one is a good Windows app, but haven't tried it yet: Netcam Studio
