ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD is a thin, polyurethane film originally created for the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades. What's unique about this military-grade film is how tough it is - it doesn't scratch. Introduced in early 2005, the invisibleSHIELD is the first product of its kind. Its patent-pending, full body protection has revolutionized the industry and has changed the way people think of protecting their devices. Others have tried to imitate it and have fallen short.

Even if you don't buy the 3G iPhone in the end and not using the InvisibleSheild you can always sell it on ebay at a profit lol. Im on a o2 pay as you go for years, so I should get a discount on the o2 3G iPhone pay as you go plan :)
#2
is this taking it too far? my thought.
#3
I got one for my iPod Touch and it's very good. You don't really notice it's there and it is completely scratch resistant.

What do you mean? You can only get 40% off total on Pre-order only. So your saving extra £2 on pre-order than none pre-order and thats if the discount code don't expire by then. You would end up paying £12.50 ($25) at full price. It either save now (£8) or pay full price (£12.50) later? These fetch alot on ebay, especially on the first few weeks of iPhone launch date. Bare in mind you get lifetime warrenty from Zagg and not from ebay resellers. Choice is yours

These are excellent - bought one for my iPod and they really are as good as they claim! Won't protect against heavy impact, but it means you can put you shiny new apple product in your pocket with your keys etc and it will be safe from nasty scratches...
#7
is this exactly the same thing for the normal iphone? as im thinking about getting it for my own one.
#8
Got one for my iPhone. A bit fiddley to apply, but works really well. Voted hot!
#9
Has anyone used ZAGG before? How are they like? How long will it take to be shipped?
#10
I have, but was a couple of years ago now... From what I remember, the service was fine - had no complaints...
#11
That's great, have ordered one. Thanks to OP!
#12
ordered, thanks!
#13
these are good but a bitch to apply
#14
Thanks, haven't got an iPhone thingy but was looking for something to protect my LG Venus & this sounds just the job.
#15
Ordered and heated :)
Can't wait till July 11th!!
#16
Many thanks Asusboy - heat and rep added! Like many, haven't got an iPhone yet as I've been waiting for the 3G version to be launched. Seen the invisibleshield on here before and after researching some reviews on this bit of kit, it's (generally) considered an essential item to protect the iPhone. This is a good price - many thanks.
#17
Damn... I was thinking* about getting the Iphone 3G after waiting so long for it's announcement... after just placing my order for this, I HAVE to get it.. pfftt!

Heat added, just ordered mine - muchos thx OP.
#24
Thanks just ordered one, although it is for my phone, I have heard good things about these....

Not sure if it will work for the ipod deal but the code:

pcworld20

Takes 20% extra off the proce for ya, meaning the cover for my n95 8Gb comes in at $19.96 with free delivery.

Looks worth the tenner :)

You will have to take a contract, as PAYG price is not yet declared. Whatsoever, it is not going to be cheap in PAYG.

Excellent, thanks! I've been toying with getting the new g3 iPhone and I've decided to go for it, one of these to go along side it works out just fine! :)
#27
I like scratches... they add character! I love solving the mystery of a new scratch when I find one.
#28
I've got an invisibleshiled on my nano and ipod touch and highly recommend them. Delivery is pretty quick, I ordered one last week and it came within 3/4 days.
#29
To those of you who already have one of these for an iPhone or iPod Touch - would you recommend the full cover (presumably includes a front cover that covers the screen?) or just the back cover? Just wondering if there are any problems using the touch screen through a cover?

Thanks.

I got one for the iphone I bought a few weeks ago when they cut the price to £169. I took ten days to arrive (I should have shelled out for express) and it was a batch to put on - I gave up doing the corners - but now it's on it looks great and it works brilliantly. Wish I had taken a bit more time and done those corners now! Far better than silicone or leather covers esp if for those who want to carry it around in their pocket, ie blokes.

O and it has no effect on any aspect of the phone's operation - touchscreen, volume, anything...
#31
does anyone know if these are removable or are they stuck onto the phone forever?
#32
get a cheap pair of these from dealextreme. I have an excellent one on my iphone... cost around £2 for 2. (inc delivery)

Yes, you can peel them off with no residue left behind. Conversely, I've never had one unpeel itself - they're very well attached (as long as you take care during the application).

Highly recommended, and vastly superior to any case.

Get one, they are brilliant.

Once applied you can hardly see it. I tried it on an old ipod and scratched the shield with a pair of scissors for a minute or so, and you could not see any scratches at all. Brilliant.

In terms of working out which bit goes where, then they are very easy to apply. In terms of getting the films onto the device, then they are a tad tricky. All I can say is take you time! They are excellent for the money tho and worth every penny!
#39
Very strange, I've just had a shipping confirmation! Surely they haven't been able to do a mock up on the iPhone 3G yet as it hasn't been released?!

I'll email them, see what they say.
