Good price for a pre-order, but I will wait, remind me how much can you pick up Mass Effect for!

Amazon gives the exclusive code for one of the armor. Play has the other one and gameplay and game have the collectors edition exclusive I think.
#5
there are some games that I will wait to come down in price for, this isnt one of them uncharted 2 also

im paying 55 for the collectors
#6
price will be down to £25 in under 2 weeks of release and further to £20 within a month or so, but I might buy it before because it will be a great game judging on the first one
#7
Cant wait for this game !
#8
Hell yeah what a find! Why expired? Prob someone wants this deal to be kept a secret...
#9
Great find OP. Can't wait for this!
#10
PC version is being released at the same time... i'm getting the PC version =).

In the grand scheme of things Mass Effect isn't that popular a series on 360, so this'll be one of those games you'll see for £20-£25 after a month or two.

Hot!
£30 is pretty damn good for a pre order! and worth it for this game!

Why is it expired though? I just ordered
#14
unexpire this
#15
What are amazon like with pre-orders? Will super saver get this by release day?
#16
unexpire this nao!
#17
Just pre-ordered, thanks OP. Was considering getting the CE but can't justify £50+ just for a nicer box and a few bonus items.
#18
Got my order in, great price. Take notice Play, lower your price please, you have the better bonus.

As for the "not popular" comment , I see Mass Effect come up in almost every best RPG discussion and at times 360 exclusive. I can see this game retaining a price around £30 for a while.

I've had several pre-orders at Amazon fall flat with them changing their price a day or two before release, very annoying but hot if they honor the pre-order price...

Do you have to pay the new price if they change it?
Other retailers don't do that. My battlefield order is still at £23 even though the price has gone up

On the two occasions where Amazon have done it to me (first time was for Call of Duty second time was Crackdown I think) they've not even bothered to tell me it was a price change, they literally said something along the lines of:

The item you have ordered is currently unavailable, your order has been cancelled, we apologise for the inconvienence.

So I checked if the item was really unavailable and it wasn't, it was available but at a price of £15 more... so anyway I sent an angry email to customer services and they basically apologised and said they would allow me to order it for the new stated price... errr... thanks amazon? Is that supposed to be doing me a favour?

They also sent me a link to their terms and conditions page, so I found them pretty cold, at least Tesco give you a voucher as a jesture of good will if they reprice your pre-order, Amazon just tell you to f**k off and read the small print next time.

I've not used Amazon since for pre-orders, don't trust them, I think they use a low price to hook you in and then change to the same price as everywhere else hoping you'll stick with them out of laziness.

Sorry guys but I think you're wrong. It's not popular, not in the "grand scheme" of things. I love the first Mass Effect and it's an amazing game. So much so that I'm not sure if I'm not going to stick with my Game order for the second one, just because they get it to you quicker. But it's not popular, not amongst your average Fifa/CoD/Guitar Hero playing store-browsing fan. Yeah you see it in "best RPG" discussions, but that's not somewhere that discusses popularity, only what should be popular.

I picked up the first Mass Effect brand new about 2 years ago for £19 in Gamestation. These days you can easily pick it up under a tenner. And that for a game that IGN ranked their number one 360 game!

but what games are that popular? not many, this will sell almost as much as Fallout 3, i would say around 2-3 million but not around 8-10 million that COD will or FIFA will

but im a huge RPG fan and sci-fi fan so paying 30 for a game I will complete maybe 3-4 times which Bioware reckon is gonna be there best game of all time is a bargain even if it was 40

if you look at the pre-order charts mass effect 2 regularly at the very top beating Bioshock 2, splinter cell etc so its very popular game, just not up there with the elite sellers

awesome price! but had to go for the CE from game, im such a sucker for bonus content.

I thought Mass Effect had excellent sales when it was released. I'm sure I remember news stories about its great sales? You can pick up Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 for £10-15 today. How is that indicative of popularity?

FIFA and COD are multi-platform. Mass Effect isn't.

To Arif123 I would take what "CunningStunts" says with a pick of salt. If you look at Amazon's website and go to the Mass Effect 2 price, then look down just a couple of lines you'll see it says "Pre Order Price Guarantee" and "Learn more" after it. If you read it which I have (as I wondered the same thing) it says that ONLY products that are marked with this price guarantee will pay the lowest price between the time you placed the order and the day of release.

Basically if you paid £29.99 from amazon thats the price you'll pay even if the price goes up which it has now, unfortunately!
