PRE ORDER WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE £159.85 inc vat & Del

while looking for Win7 Ultimate pre order i found this as the cheapest so far from dabs, com and amazon as the next cheapest at £169.98.
only thing is i'm not sure if this is an upgrade or full install but it does come with both 32bit & 64bit versions installed on disk.

Why are people voting cold?
#2
I think smartarse people assume this is the same version as Home or Pro. Which it emphatically is not. It isn't a hot price, but it isn't cold. Please, if you don't know what it is, don't vote!
#3
As 'pre order' it was £45 for the home premium edition and £90 for the Professsional edition, that was like 2 weeks ago. Everyone who wanted a copy bought one then...
You are tooooooo late as £170 for ultimate edition is more than likely the release day price too. It isn't expensive though at a guess for this edition

Hence the COLD votes from others.

Where did you get £170 from?? It clearly states £159.85 inc VAT & del!

I'm not sure why it's voted cold tbh. It's a decent price of Ultimate edition, though I wish it was a bit cheaper for pre-order. :p

vista ultimate can be found cheaper with a free windows 7 upgrade included
#6
It might be cold because in ur pic it shows all 3 copies so people vote cold thinking its the home version without reading it properly?
#7
Well ultimate is a waste of time, basically professional with some drive encryption junk that nobody will use.
#8
new pict added for those that need the exact picture, and this is the cheapest standalone copy of win7 ultimate full install so no need for lots of disks when formatting your drive.
#9
can anyone plz find cheaper?

didn't think so! So why is this cold?
#10
very little difference between pro and ultimate, not worth the price difference of more than £100.

Really looking forward to using this OS. I was pleased enough with Vista, and this one looks set to be better still.

I hate to say this as I do not normall bash an OS, but if you thought VISTA was OK any OS would suit you :)

Which looks at "Why is Microsoft even offering Windows 7 Ultimate?"

Iv'e been using Vista for over a year, previously XP for many years... Vista feels so much nicer to use, though if you have an under-powered PC I can understand why you wouldn't like it much as its power hugry.
