Phew, i can't believe how much i'm sweating.... feels like its really hot in here!

Great find Iain. What games are included?
I was holding out for a cheap price on release day. This might just tempt me....
#3
Hopefully from the looks of the promotion poster shown it should be any 3DS game that is on the site,
#4
u might get it deliverd a week after launch, beware

Have you had a bad experiance with thier deliver ? The product pages says for delivery on day of release

Let's hope amazon decide to price match.

The fiendish **** always seem to price match the best deals from competitors, right up to the last penny.

Also, I'm not loving the whole tesco reserving the right to withdraw the promotion due to abuse - OBVIOUSLY some greedy people are going to be placing multiple orders using different details and tescoentertainment will suffer massive heart failure due to the inability to cope with all the strain. Lest we forget what happened with the infamous 150.00 offer!

Ive had plenty of games on release date from them, based on the blurays i ordered the other day from them, those arrived within 2 days too.

Not sure what other peoples experience is of them though, always been good for me.
#8
Tesco will also take your money now beware

"You can't use that promotional code here"

Am i missing something? Added blue 3DS and SSFIV to my cart, entered the code and got the above message :|
#10
It has not starrted yet. It is awaiting activation, probably in the morning.
#11
Ah makes sense. I'll try again later then ^_^

EDIT: Literally two seconds after posting this I went to the tesco tab and tried one last time and it worked :P
EDIT2: Though it's only changed the game price, 3DS still at £197. I give up :( Try again tomorrow.

With the price promise you should be ok to order the console now as that should drop in line ith the prise promise.to £179 once it happends

i touch myself until i get very happy

I'm pretty sure Tesco have messed up and the Nintendo 3DS is still meant to be the standard price of £197.
I think all this deal is meant to be is that when you preorder you get a game for £10.

I think they got the 9 and the 7 the wrong way round on the banner so they put £179 instead of £197.

It will prob be fixed tomorrow :( This is what it will prob change too ;)

I hope not, cos i have preordered assuming the price reduction through the preorder price promise.

They do also have it saying 179 in the pictures link

This is better than the IWOOT deal isn't it? I mean you have to get a game separately with that and it's only £20 less all told
#17
I hope it changes to 179, but i don't think it will.

Plus nearly 500 tesco clubcard points and 9% quidco

That should be about £4.70 back on the clubcard and about £17 on quidco.
#19
Good find my son, now to cancel my dixons preorder!
#20
Damm these 3DS deals changing all of the time, i think i might wait for a few weeks until after release as im sure someone is going to offer a deal equivalent to about £30 cheaper.
#21
I think retailers are purchasing them at £175. I can't see any further price reductions in the near future
#22
nintendo has just announced they made massive losses the past few months there banking on the 3ds to recoup some money so if they can sweeten stores up to selling it cheaper than rrp by giving them free accessories some stores will because they know everyone who buys a new console buys atleast 2 games and useally a few accessories such as cases expect this to be the standard price for the first few weeks
#23
Yeah, they've messed the price up on the banner there, but it's still a hot deal at £207 for the 3DS+game.
#24
Do they take the money out straight away?
#25
Tesco Entertainment takes the money on dispatch.
#26
Thanks, I thought so. Tesco Direct took my money for the mispriced 3DS a few weeks back which is why I asked. Would love an Amazon price match...
#27
I can't believe tesco have mispriced the 3DS again, somebody there needs shooting.

Unless of course it is a real price in which case the whole misprice fiasco from a few weeks ago becomes even more stupid as this deal isn't much different.

You konw nmbuer dyexisla is a tberirle tnhig don't mcok the aflficetd.

Good deal OP.
#29
I suppose they could get away with saying the deal with the game makes the 3DS £179. Well, they'd still be wrong because all the games are £35, which would make the 3DS £172 and them even more stupid.
#30
I might not order after the last fiasco and that was not the first time they had done it. How can such a large corporation make such a mistake on the biggest launch of the year?
#31
I know Tesco took a bad rap over the last misprice, but this has the potential to be blazing hot!!

I've taken a punt, regardless of the pricing error, 207 is still fantastic with a game other than the predefined bundles floating around, plus the potential for 9% quidco makes this a crazy 188 pounds. Also 4 quid in clubcard points too. HOT!
#32
Been reading these boards forever. My first post, but I'm an old hand where it comes to getting a good deal. So I'm trading my old DS at HMV. This week I saw my chance and managed to snag 4 copies of Gran Turismo 5 pre-owned from Blockbuster stores @£25 each then traded them for £35 credit each at HMV. So that's £40 off their deal effectively. Of course I'll also get the £20 voucher and the points. At least this way I'm safeguarded a good price in the face of these other last minute deals.

Why can't I use my Clubcard points?
#34
i know it's been mentioned before but just to summarise the console still goes through at £197 (not £179).... You get a game of your choice for £10.... so £207 total!!
#35
Like a previous member has stated - i think they have messed up with the price. Should be 197 not 179. With the code for the £10 game, its coming out at 207. Good ole Tesco!
#36
Got my order confirmation,

"Despatched: Within 1 to 2 Weeks from 11 Mar 2011"

w00t!
#37
Nice deal.. thanks OP
#38
It's a bit naughty to make us think it's £179, even if it is a typo. Still, it is a great deal with quidco and clubcard.
#39
£179 is still way too much for a handheld.
#40
Should really be expired since it is obviously a misprice. Peps will vote this stupidly hot on the basis of the OP. I guess you could change the OP but then its already had a 300 degree headstart based on a 'misprice'. Yes it still good at £207, but Tescos are really boring me now ....
