Under £200 for 3DS and a game? Not too shabby.

Do they take money first?

I have no idea to be honest.

They did when I preordered one when they made a pricing error so I assume it is the case this time too.

This seems like the best one so far, apart from the HMV deal for £205 if you want Rayman or Ghost Recon (not counting anything of the expired deals).

Not as cheap as Tesco Entertainment (when taking Quidco into account) and £5 delivery or wait until after 4pm on day of release to collect from store. At least with TE you should get a a day or two before release date and at free P&P. Also i dont trust TD to keep up their end of the deal. Cold from me.

NB I would also like to know what 'receive a voucher to purchase a Nintendo 3DS Game for £10.' actually means. Does it mean any 3DS game, from a selection of games or worst case scenerio one title only. I assume its same as TEs but i personally wouldnt risk it.

Quite right, order cancelled and reordering, cheers.

Wasn't best pleased with this. Having already preordered and used Tesco point vouchers, the fact that they are now offering a voucher for £10 of a game but only to new preorders is outrageous. I have raised a customer complaint query asking why existing preorder customers are being penalised through exclusion of gaining the £10 game voucher.
#8
I've got a paid for pre-order on this and rang Tesco Direct up to complain. Ten squids are wending their way back to my account! Have an email confirmation too.

Just tried calling TE manager won't price match TD :(

I have a preorder on 3ds with TE from last month, and they sent me an email yesterday with a code to grab a game for £10!
#11
I want this very badly :( So are they not honouring the deal now or what?
#12
I just fired off an email about whether customers already will be getting any re-imbursements.

Not happy that they spring this up and not think about us that shelled out from the start.
I let the price error one off but I would like the game for £10
#13
Thinking whether to pre-order this for my birthday pressie???? Plus is the £10 game offer for any 3ds game or specific games??? because as it states
Pre-Order the Nintendo 3DS Between 11th March & 14th March Inclusive and receive a voucher to purchase 'A' Nintendo 3DS Game for £10. (Vouchers will be sent via a separate email week commencing 21st March.)

TE has a better price than TD with cashback via quidco or topcashback, + you get the game for £10 instantly rather than having to wait/trust them to send the code out on the 21st, which probably means you might not get the game for launch.
#15
Not worth getting yet. Launch games look lame IMO

It's only a paid for preorder if you actually handed over money to your credit card company, which you shouldn't have done. Tesco don't take the money at the point of the order in a literal sense, it's just earmarked.
#17
They took my money out few days after confirmation of order.

My order was with Tesco Direct at the time since I had enough point vouchers to make the deal better than TE.

I paid with my debit card - not a credit card. They've definitely taken my money because it's gone out of my account! :)

I am a bit concerned as on TD they only have three 3DS games and these are not any of the ones that I would would.

Well just got a reply from Tescos:

Dear *********,

Thank you for your email.

I am sorry to hear that you feel you are being penalised by ordering in advance. Please be assured this is not the case.

We run a number of promotions on various products at any time, and these can be subject to change. As this offer was not valid at the time your order was placed, you will not be sent the £10.00 game voucher. I am very sorry for any disappointment that this may cause.

I do hope that there will be other promotions in the future that you will be able to benefit from, and I am sorry that I couldn't help you further on this occasion.

If you have any further queries...

So basically, tough ****, you lose and we hope you shop with us again!

Have to say, with Tesco Direct's attitude I'm inclined to cancel even if it means paying more elsewhere now.
#22
Just cancel it and place a new order. Chances are if they're coming out with this good of an offer then they can't have sold as many preorders as they'd have wanted.

Hi, all previous Tesco Direct 3DS orders will be sent a voucher code for a £10 game same as new pre-orders.
The full range of 3DS games will be available when the codes are dispatched.

Thanks

Maybe you should tell CS that then (Garie post above). So you will have more than the 3 titles in stock next week then? Thanks, but ill rather not take the risk since the TE offer ends tonight.

I have just received a telephone call from Tesco and they said that the voucher will be for all games and these games will be updated soon.

Do you mean all 3DS games or all games across various consoles? Because I've pre-ordered Street Fighter IV for a tenner, even though I don't really want it. Would switch to another game in an instant.

Are you talking about Tesco Direct or Tesco Entertainment? Tesco Direct only have about 3 games and these are Splinter Cell and two Nintendogs games. I want Street Fighter but at the moment they only have it on Tesco Entertainment.

The lady on the telephone said to me that Tesco Direct will be adding more games.

Im thinking that now too. its a BS response as we are the people that lined up first and now getting shafted.

If we do cancel how does the vouchers go about getting returned? mine are vouchers from up to 2 years back now which were made up of 10+ vouchers. (£5, £1.50, £10 e.g)

Garie/DLC - i would email them again and ask them to confirm that you WILL recieve the £10 game voucher since Mike Fethers (assuming he is who he states) has posted here that everyone who preordered previously will.

You lose your Tesco points vouchers then so it would cost me more. If cancelling will probably move elsewhere.

I've emailed back. On Mikefethers claim. Also, asked about policy on reclaiming voucher points should I have to.
