Doesn't make any sense. Why would a Game store not have £180? Every time I go into a Game store there is a queue of people parting with cash.

I think he's confusing GAME with CEX.

Im sure they will go for more than this on ebay to start with due to shortage of stock but im guessing that would have to be sealed. So with this you get to play with it for a month heat added

Plus you have a huge added risk selling it on Ebay along with the fees. Many may dispute the auction, claim they didn't recieve the actual item, saying it doesn't work. Could lose alot of money.
I would rather take it back to a store and get the cash instantly with no bad come back.

Do u think Gamestation will follow suit? It's still the most expensive there

they only do discs though right?

This is really hot if it's honoured. I was very excited about the 3DS coming out until I had a play on a demo one last week. It can make you feel motion sick and headachey, I didn't like the experience at all so would have been gutted if I'd bought one.
#16
I would say you need to put credit in the title and then the cash price too :D

I know it is written in the description but worth adding to title too

did you try turning the 3D effect down a little with the slider on the side Plymouthgal? If you do that you can tweak it to whats right for you.

When it's on full, it's a bit much, but turn it down a little and it's a lot better.

i spoke to the guy behind the till at gamestation and he said the same but said you can alter the strength and when he did that to his liking it was great

Interesting... I do feel there may be shortages here with this much like the wii and xbox 360.

Was selling my £198 credit for Game on here think I will keep it now, Thanks again OP ;)

If I sold it coz didn't like it can I still play the games on my DSi XL (Obviously without the 3D effect)?

3DS games will only work on 3DS. DS games will work on the 3DS and your DSi XL however.

So you buy the console for £197 and then buy games for however much.

You use it and then sell the console for a £7 loss and then sell games for a loss of however much all within 28 days.

What's the point? Am I missing something?

tried the 3ds in leeds white rose the other day PAH what aload of poo !! good price though for those who want it
#25
sorry but this is cold, the tesco deal was better. Plus after the 3d hype has died again these will fall in price
#26
Seems pretty good to me. The price is in-line with every other offer (excluding the Tesco deal that never was) and you get pre-order points too. Plus if you don't think it and can't be bothered with selling privately it gives you an easy way to sell without losing much.

Having looked at the 3DS recent official game releases on the launch day. Have to say I am very disappointed they didn't add Zelda. Although I've pre ordered one, might even wait for a while to purchase the first game. Depending on the reviews pro evo 3d and street fighter get.

Seem's like a good deal for anyone unsure if to buy one, or want's to rent one..... although being stuck into a game credit note sounds crappy as their prices are not great.

Wouldn't it be even cheaper if you used a 14-day money back guarantee?

I should imagine there are clauses like if you break the seal you can't get your money back or something along those lines.

I believe this offer will only be online, yes? Instore will probably still be closer to the £230 RRP. I'm crossing my fingers that Gamestation's instore prices drop, or at least somewhere nearby so I can use pricematch... I've got over £100 credit, which will probably have increased by the release.
#32
GAME are a rip-off! Was in a branch where they had a PS3 Move Controller with no box or instruction for £39.99! Also saw a used copy of a game for £44.99 when the new one was £29.99. They are scum - I'll stick to Gamestation - even though they are owned by same company they are more ethical and have better pricing...CEX are good too...
#33
what if i bought the ds and street fighter bundle would it still work? also i doubt this will work if i trade in one of my dsi xl's
#34
Title needs changing, you get £180 and 190 instore credit.

I've used love film a while and they do DS games too. I don't borrow DS games much but they do them at least so 3DS should get done too.

I wouldn't count your chickens just yet, this is for an online deal, not in-store and you can't use Game gift card/credit notes online. In the picture it states you have to show them your dispatch note.

Out of interest, does anyone know how much Game are selling the 3DS for in-store/on pre-order?

3DS isn't that powerful, with the 3D effect on its less powerful than PSP and with it off its a bit more powerful but its a lot of money for what it is. Many of the games don't look much better than DS games apart from the 3D. Don't get me wrong its a fantastic little portable but theres a lot of hype about it spec which is totally over the top. This seems a good deal as I think many people will be disappointed with the performance expecting gamecube/wii level performance and might want to return it.

This actually could go against Game if returns are very high.
#38
Really this looks like a gimmick to get people to spend their money then fool those into getting 'an extra £10' in Game credit, so they have still got your money in effect, as you can't spend it anywhere else. However this is still hot as I doubt you will get that amount of money for it in cash after using it a month :)

They shouldn't buy the **** games that the developers haven't put any effort into, it only takes 5 minutes on youtube to find some good close up HD videos showing what the games are like.

Pilot Wings, Super Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil: Mercenaries and Dead or Alive all look far far better than any DS game. The graphics are the same in both 3D mode and 3D off mode, the difference is that the game runs at 30FPS max in 3D on and 60FPS max 3D off.

The chance of you getting a game you actually want, when you want it is slim though, new release titles take months to filter down, although you do occasionaly get lucky and get them sent within a week of release, but I would not use this as part of your plan, I cancelled as kept getting my "filler" games, and when ran out of them, they just didnt send me anything, and you wont be able to fill your list of 25 with 3DS games as there isnt 25 out, so you will more than likely end up with a "filler" game also :(

Great deal , heat left for that :)

(best getting the cash though as £180 in credit in Game will only get you something like a preowned copy of tomb raider 1 on the PS1 ! ;) )
