Saw this today as went past on way to job interview, poster in window said the first 50 people to preorder with £10 deposit can purchase the console at launch for £189, or 219 with any game.

Tesco online deal is still cheaper for the console and a game but for a high street price in Nottingham - the store looks new so maybe local offer? - it seems pretty good, especially if you want to trade in.

As usual I expect this to get cold :)

i think he'll be one of these that'll then buy for £100 in a few years but complain that they then almost straight away release the 4DS!

Try it first if you can, GAME in Belfast have a demo unit so I'm sure other places do too. I wasn't overly impressed tbh there seems to be an ideal distance and positioning of your head to get the 3D to look nice, if you move an inch or so out of that zone it goes a bit fuzzy. I know that's the whole thing about glassless 3D - it works because the user is in a fixed position but it was really disappointing until I found that 'sweet spot', I played around with a few things and the 3D was impressive though I'd certainly want to see the games working on it before I bought one.

I managed to play all release games plus some future games like Resident Evil at the 3DS tour. It's amazing. I had no problem with keeping the 3D looking clear. Super Monkey Ball was the only game where the 3D effect wasn't right, so i don't recommend anyone picks that game up.

Been waiting for a while for the DSi XL to drop to 100, but still hasn't yet!
