Never used them for a pre order before, but if they are anything like LoveFilm, The Hut, Asda which are all part of the same group then yes you should. Have had Blu-Ray pre-orders from LoveFilm on 4 occasions and all arrived before release date.

dont know if i should get this on xbox or ps3 but this is the best price I seen so far, the amrican and japanese getting special editions all we getting in europe is a ****** steel case one and that sucks!
#5
Remember you have nothing to loose, if a cheaper price is found then you can always log in to your account and cancel your order before the release date, don't leave it too late or they may process your order.

Remember this deal will expire by midday Thursday when the voucher expires.

A number of times reviewers say Xbox versions have been a smidgen better. And if you do a lot of online play you know which would be better to go for.
I'll get the PS3 version, I don't have an xbox.

Decided to get it on xbox because a mate of mine is doing the same so we will need to do the co op feature, but this is a great price :)

Already played it, the japanese demo was put onto bit torrent. I burned a disc and it works on a PAL 360.

I don't know, where ever to pre-order here, or hope that my work will be selling it for £39.99. With my 25% discount, I could get it for £29.99 and also I get it about 4 to 5 days early.

Showing as £33.89?

Just order Resi 5
nice one!
#18
heat given. played the demo for this on the 360 already. Amazing. RE4 on the gamecube was one of my fav games ever, especially the mercs part. I wonder will this have something similar to mercs?

Cool signed up for a new account with seperate email. Also take Amex so another 1.5% there + 10% quidco and voucher around £27. Wont be cheaper than that anywhere for launch week.
#20
Like a few other people on here I have played the japanese demo via bit torent too. Can say that if you liked Resi 4 you wont be disapointed. I think its gonna be GOTY.
#21
I think the pre-order price will go down or soon after release
#22
Have ordered it but I dont think Emily will aprove of it...

Thanks :)
#23
Might as well throw Street Fighter IV in as well at £26 with the discount :)

Edit: Damn, just realised these are both 'weird' launch dates as far as having any of my pay cheque left is concerned...
Hmm.

A five minute trailer video for the game ("Biohazard 5") is available from the Japanese PlayStation Store, btw.

Code is Expired now, so Expiring the deal.

Well done those who managed to grab one.
#35
Anyone know if you can amend the card details used on an order?
I have two titles on preorder but I'm concerned that I won't have available funds for RE5 (would be better if it temporarily went to the creddo card).
#36
Been playing the new demo on PS3 today and have to say they have ruined the game, not a patch on RE4, cancelled my order now, might pick it up much much later when it's on sale for £10 or so.

Love the 360 version.

You'd also love the PS3 version then.

That's the most positive thing you've said about the PS3 in the recent comments you've made in this, and the "Killzone 2" related threads.

Well done! :)

I read a review of RE5 on IGN, it tells you what happens in the first half of the game and I think that it might actually be better than the demo level we have played. It also showed you some clips of later stages where there were some familiar enemies like the giant trolls of RE4 and also the game enters a night time phase where everything is a lot darker.
I still do not like the fact that you have to play the game with another player though, rather do my own thing.

Will wait and see what the reviews of the full game scores are.

Yes, I'm in two minds to cancel my pre-order or not. I would like to own & play the game, but it is not quite as much of a "must have a release day" title any more.

However, I am going to give the demo another few plays over this weekend & I may change my mind.

Of course, you can always ignore the sidekick player, but if she runs off to complete a task then you have to help or meet her somewhere. And, of course, if she dies then your game is over too.

However, when Sheva is controlled by the console she does act intuitively at times & saves you from rampaging enemies if she can.

One thing I did learn whilst playing co-operatively online was that Chris could move objects around to block windows & doors. I had never noticed on my own that you are prompted to push items around when appropriate. Also, I missed extra ammunition that was within easy reach because I hadn't checked *every* drawer & cupboard, etc.

Also, playing as Sheva in the online game did make me realise that there would be extra gameplay beyond finishing the offline mode as the attack & defence tactics are different for the female character.

Damn! I think I'm talking myself back into it again...

(Thanks)

When I played the demo (Off Line) I just ran over to moveable furniture and it prompted me to press X to move item, just like in RE4. I also hate how Sheva just wastes ammo on enemies and you have to constantly keep giving her ammo or she dies (meaning both of you die). When I play RE4 I like to use the knife as much as possible to save ammo for later.

I have got a sneaky feeling that with so many people being turned off by this sequel that the price might nose dive like Tomb Raider or Mirrors Edge. Another Capcom budget game is Devil May Cry which can usually picked up for £10 if you look around.
