Would-be Jedis (and Sith) everywhere can jump for joy at the big-screen arrival of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS. Series creator George Lucas executive produces this all-new, CGI-animated tale that revisits classic characters, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padme Amidala in the midst of the Clone Wars. The film will be followed by small-screen adventures on Cartoon Network.

It's so absurd how films get retail release dates before they're even at the cinema now!

If the trailer is anything to go by its yet another poorly acted, sub standard star wars cash in that will hopefully die on its **** so Mr Lucas actually pulls his finger out and does something good for once! :-D

Yeah, this film looks complete garbage even to an average Swars fan like myself.

Poorly acted doesn't even begin to cover it, it's a sub-standard Thunderbirds-esque cartoon that couldn't even get the vocals from 90% of the live-action cast. I'd wager a princely sum that it'll be popping up in major price reduction advertising within weeks of release on dvd

They always have done. The difference now is they're actually telling the online retailers what the release dates are before the film comes out ;)
