Written by Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books) and produced by Ash Atalla (The Office), The IT Crowd centres on the worlds of Roy, Moss and Jen who make up the IT department of Reynholm Industries. While their social betters work upstairs in fantastic surroundings, the IT dept. work in a horrible dark basement underneath it all...

The IT Crowd will strike a chord with everyone who dreads getting stuck in a corner with the IT boys at the office party or who's ever phoned their IT deptartment only to be asked "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Filmed on location and in front of a live studio audience, The IT Crowd is a surreal look at the underclass of a company.

Actually, they've made it and it's starting to air on ch4 this friday.

If you're interested in the first two series, then zavvi are selling them in a box set for a very reasonable tenner.

The first series took a while to get into its stride but there were some absolute gems in the second series. ("The Dinner Party")

I p*ss myself laughing every time she turns around after seeing Roy in the wheelchair and Moss is serving at the bar. The first series had it's moments but the second was constantly funny.

'Oh Jen I'm gay! I just thought it might work cos you look a bit like a man.'

I think some people don't find series 1 funny because they don't get the references as they are a little nerdy, even some visual gags in the background like props and posters.

If you don't find series 1 funny then you are probably one of the cool kids, if you however do like it then you are a little geeky or nerdy like my self.

If you watch the special features on the DVD you will see that a lot of people who go the live studio recording are groups of friends who work in IT.

"Today's the Day the Homophobes Get Their ***** Kicked", I'm a Friend of Dorothy", "Hold My Hand - Not That's Not My Hand", and "I Love Willies!"

Great Stuff... I have the dvd recorder at the ready!
