Tron: Legacy is ace. Can't remember the original. Not watched it since I was 5.

really??? i hated that film.

As a piece of cinematography its spectacular in its use of technology but story is "hmmm" ok. Soundtrack is ace.

Hmm puzzled, surely the way to save big on such a purchase is wait until it is out when prices start to tumble when all the people who must have it immediately have bought theirs.

I really liked it. Maybe because I wasn't expecting anything special. The cinematography is spectacular, even if the storyline is a bit 'meh'.

I'd hold off as all these titles are going to be in the Disney BOGOF which starts again in a couple of weeks.

I hope they release the original Tron on DVD again. I don't really want to pay £20 to get the 2002 edition from Used and New on Amazon or Play. I've only seen the pre-orders for the different versions of Tron and Tron Legacy on Blu-Ray and Tron Legacy on its own on DVD

Despite it's numerous flaws I couldn't help but enjoy it. Might get the BD somewhere down the road.

Tron Legacy - hard to say what I remember from it after watching it apart from the neon glows and a disc.

Tron Legacy isn't an amazing film, but it's not bad either. I personally felt it could've done with being 30 minutes shorter.

Incidentally, does anyone know if the Tron original in this pack is on DVD or is a remastered blu-ray version?

Heat added, by the way

Looks like the original Tron is just a dvd copy, think I'll wait for a double blu-ray release

Good find but annoying.

There will be no traditional triple pack for this. i.e. Blu Ray, DVD and Digital Copy.

Instead they are doing 3D Blu Ray, Blu Ray and Digital copy
or
Blu Ray and DVD combo.

I think they are jumping the gun a bit as I still dont know anyone with a 3D tv, and very few will have 3D TV plus Blu Ray players in every room of the house.

Ideally I wanted a Blu Ray for downstairs, DVD for the Kids tv and Digital Copy for Ipod/IPad.

Ho Hum

Now you know someone with a 3D TV. ;)

The way i have things is DVD for all bedrooms + NAS Drive to all rooms with xbox (So HD Movies) and 1 huge 3D cinema screen to master lounge.

That way its like going to the movies and a bit more special when we watch on the big screen rather than chilling watching movies in the bedroom. :)

I would of preffered Tron Legacy 3D + Tron 1 on Blu Ray.

Exclusive to hmv the dvd double pack - shame it's so expensive, dvd should be cheaper than bluray. But considering you would struggle to get tron original on dvd itself for under 20quid perhaps not a bad buy.

Hope that helps X

Tron was digitally re-mastered for this version, and is Blu-ray high-definition quality. An interview with the original director can be found here discussing the project. http://collider.com/steve-lisberger-interview-tron-blu-ray-remastered/57205/
