GAME have seemed to lowered the prices on some of their console bundles.

Here is a selected few from their website:

Preowned Playstation 3 60GB with Preowned Red Dead Redemption for £149.99
Considering RDR when sells for £15ish on the internet and much more from the shops then this is basically a pre-owned 60GB PS3 with a years warranty for sub £135. Great price.

Preowned Xbox 360 120GB Elite with Preowned Call of Duty Black Ops for £109.99
Same as above but with Black Ops being worth a little bit more when trading/selling to shops. Lets say a £90 for a Elite with a years guarantee. Seems good to me.

Preowned Xbox 360 120GB Elite With Preowned Red Dead Redemption for £99.99

Preowned Nintendo White Wii With Preowned Super Mario Galaxy for £69.99.
SMG sales for £15-20 so great price for a pre-owned Wii

All in stock from midday on 03/04/2011

All are £5 less when applying the provided code :) Even better deal

Yeah the 60gb plays PS2 games.

Thats a great price for a 60gb PS£, because they are the only ones with backwards compatibility, and were the first version of the PS3, they are quite rare now. I recently bought a 250gb PS3 slim, but it felt like a cut down version, didn't have the backwards compatibility for PS2 games, didn't have the multi card reader, only had half as many USB slots. I eventually decided just to upgrade the hard drive on the 60gb to 640gb and sold the 250gb slim.

Good deals - to many time I scoff at the pre-owned price, but they're all pretty decent. Especially if yu're after a Wii.
#6
with voucher and quidco... just over 60 for a wii with mario, could probably sell mario for 15... so possible to get a wii for about 45 with some work
#7
Great deal for the Wii, not bad for PS3. Glad I got the slim myself, quiet (which is useful when you use the Play TV recorder in a bedroom) and more reliable. As well as being a space saver

I can't get the £5 code to work with the Wii...

CEX give £9 for SMG so effectively £50.99 for Wii with one year warrantee!

I would not buy a second hand fat PS3 as the're all a ticking time bomb for the yellow light of death (which for anyone who doesn't know is where the mother board over heats and dies).

I never understand why people buy pre-owned machines. The condition of some I have seen have been terrible and all are scratched marked missing bits and of course not working probably. I know they are cheaper but if you shop around you can find great deals on brand new machines and you don't have go down this road.

does this ps3 play ps2 games?
If you want to play ps2 games i would get a ps2 you could pick one up for a tenner chances are you will never use it, a old used 60gb ps3 fat is likely to break on you.......... get a slim mate ;)
#15
Would you not want to pay a few extra quid and get a new, under warranty xbox with wifi, big hard drive etc? Seems pointless getting one of these given the new Amazon/Tesco prices?

just lookin at it and their charging 199.99 for a slim 360 250gb and black ops when you could pick up new seperately for less.... game are morons
#19
Any body think they'll be able to get something close to the ps3 prices? I've got a strange desire for one ... :)
#20
Great for the Wii in particular
#21
Its a great deal for the Wii, and maybe the 60GB PS3 imo.

The Wii deal doesn't need to be explained. Its simply great value.
The PS3 is a good deal considering the backwards compatibility. There is always the risk of an old phat model playing up but there is always the 1 years guarantee.

Is this in store also, wife was pestering me for a wii the other day

Online only I think. You can pick up a Wii bundle in my local but its not as good as the online offer.

Will have a mooch around the shops at lunchtime and take a look. As far as I can tell for the Quidco, hardware is only paid at 1.5% and the voucher doesn't work making the Wii work out at £67.95.
#25
ok, so I'm really tempted to get a Wii (lets face it, it's the only way I'm going to do some form of exercise X) ) .Way I see it, get this, trade SMG for £11 at CEX, get Wii Sports and Wii sports Resort for a £1 (as CEX sell it for 12 and I can just use the £11 voucher they just gave me). Just want to ask everyone says the PS3 and 360 deals are rubbish, is this purely because of the price/model? Is the Wii deal good because of the price?
#26
I guess because the 60gb PS3 must be getting on for four years old now, probably took some serious punishment and is likely to fail sooner rather than later. I think the reason its a good deal is it is the PS3 that had PS2 compatabilty, which is rare, but as others have said I strongly doubt you'll give it much playing of PS2 games, and if you want to you can get a PS2 for about a tenner.

Whereas the Wii I think is much more competitively priced as it includes the game.
#27
Had a look around town for a preowned Wii, it seems that this deal is a good price for a full year warranty and a decent game, CEX did a Wii for £60 but with only a 30 day guarantee.
#28
£50 for a Wii!?! Now I'm tempted. >:(
#29
Yeh, the Wii deal is one of the best around. You can't knock GAME's 1 year warranty :)

Personally I wouldn't pay that much for the 60GB model but then I wouldn't pay £100 for it. Like the older 360's it is a time bomb. However, for anyone whose not to fussed about sending it back if it goes faulty and getting a replacement then this is a very good price.

The Xbox Elite deals aren't too bad considering how much shops are selling them pre-owned. Your much better getting a newer Slim model but if your happy with the louder noise and want a CoD fix then it is not a bad price at all.

If I was in the market for a Wii I'd defintley get it from GAME though. The warranty would be useless as Id be banner bombing that beaut in an instant hah
