thier no point getting this model slim one better and another £60 pound more you get more reliable model and old 40gb are very prone to yellow light of death and the new games like L.A.Noire 40gb ps3 wont be able to handle them because of the model.

I've had a 40gb PS3 for over four years and I've had no problems.

And of course it can play LA Noire. What are you talking about?

LOL what are you on about. If older models didn't support new games there would be outrage. You're telling lies my friend. I've had my 40GB for about 4 years too and it runs as smooth as it did when I bought it.

Total rubbish IMO, please show the facts to support this

1) How many million sold worldwide vs how may faults
2) where does it say new games won't work?!

Also if you want to change hard disc - you can :)

Tbh, the 40gb is worse of the lot because they downsized the fan and they have blu-ray reader problems. Would put in the extra to get a 1yr guarantee on a newer console which is more power efficient, less prone to breaking and with 3x the disk space.

Preowned at this price? On a ps3?? Wait there, the older model??? Trust me, you're better off waiting for the next best deal on the slim (which may happen soon after the PSN outage), since Sony are taking a battering in sales against Microsoft at the moment.

Better off looking on ebay, I just bought a 120gb Slim 9 months old for £140 + 5 games and wireless ear piece.
