Spotted this when I was looking for a pre owned PS3 the other day. They had pre owned PSP 3000's for £69.99, had plenty in stock. Not sure if this is nationwide but presume it is.
This was at Leicester Narborough Rd store

They will specifically identify it as a 3000 if it is one.
But when they say "PSP Base" this means fat.
"PSP slim" this is the 2000.
There are a few differences, such as from what I have read has a better screen on the 3000, but the 2000 is good enough.
I have ordered the PSP2000 from Orange for £90.58 overall. As I offered £85 and it was accepted plus £5.58 postage

Interesting posting history you have. Why do you bother visiting HUKD at all?
This is a hot deal - live with it! Heat added.

But from what I understand on the 3000 there is no way to make it permanent.
Meaning you need to do the whole process every time you power the 3000 down,
