Ok, another pre-owned bargain. Instore you can get a pre-owned Premium for £150, or an Elite for £200. Saving 50quid each.

Same 12 month warrenty, covered by the microsoft 3 year warrenty, get tested before they get taken in, also, if they are banned from live, you can bring them back.

If your gunna vote cold, put a reason for it. Its saving £50, i dont see the problem.

Also, the Core your only saving £30/£40, yet you all voted it hot...

Sorry Cold from me again.
Nowhere near enough of a saving over new for me ever to consider it.
Your comment with regards to the 3 year Microsoft warranty is misleading, as Ive said before it goes on manufacture date of console or original sale receipt.

We found our 1 year old machine was actually manufactured a year earlier when we sent it back.
This means that when the Game warranty runs out in 1 year its highly unlikley that your console will still be covered by Microsofts RROD warranty.

Also your not even saving £50 a new Elite is only £239.99 at shopto and a new Premium is £179.99.
And thats without looking further than 2 mins on Google.

For £70 extra you get a brand new elite with 3 games plus 10% off if you have a virgin credit card thats £243.

so £200 for a second hand elite, or for an extra £43 get a brand new elite with 3 games. Thats why i voted cold!

Fair enough on all of you points except the highlighted one.

If you look on the back of the console, it has the manufacture date on the console. Also, before you say you cant see if its in the box, you can, as there is a flap on the box you can open up. To see in.

Absolute rip off compared to new bundle prices, surely people don't buy at these prices for a second hand item??

I dont disagree with your comment. Infact I have looked on our second console which shows the manufacture date 11 months before we bought it.

My point is that without the original receipt, the Microsoft RROD warranty starts from the manufacture date of the console, Now consider the time that the console has been sat in a warehouse after manufacture and sat in another waiting to be distibuted to a store.

If you add this time to however long the original buyer had the machine and take into account the 1 year Game warranty you are more than likely in most cases to be out of warranty when you will need it, after the Game warranty runs out. Therefore in effect you will not benefit from the RROD warranty.

Don't see why people insist on posting deals for secondhand or preowned stuff, Just look in your local paper, ebay or wherever, Their should be a separate topic/forum for these or else were going to have hundreds of 50p-£1 games from CEX posted.

The reason why i posted this, and the other pre-owned core deal, is because the amount of these we sell. A hell of alot!

But thats precisely what the car dealers do with their newspaper adverts. They'll say save £3k on this one year old car and of course they are comparing it to the price of a brand new one. Really, really annoying..........

Voted cold,

360's are great but you need a full 12 month MS warrantee with the 3 years RROD cover otherwise you could be buying a timebomb.

If your thinking about buying a 360, make sure you get the new Falcon chipset which is far more reliable than older models.

The recent price drop also put's these prices under question.
