Great deal.

I had a look today but all the items in my local store were 20% or 25% off - so no real bargains.

I wonder if this was a misprice as at 25% off it would be £14.50 ?

Good price for the trouser clips too....

Could have done with these last week after I picked up a stomach bug :whistling:

Sainsburys tend to advertise different prices. We had these lights for last year for this price. I personaly got another set for £7.50 (on the image above on the left for 11.99)

Like I said, well done, great find. Our store only had the ones on the left of the photo.

I need a set for my daughter's bike, does anyone know if these are ones that the rear light flashes?

Thanks

Not sure but I did read that it's illegal to have a flashing back light. Is this true?

To the letter of the law I think the rear light should not be flashing but you are unlikely to be pulled up for it. There are so many unlit cyclists to worry about.

Anyway, I think this light has a flashing and non flashing mode.

The £4.50 one has three settings on the rear light: permenantly on, flashing on and off and then another setting where each individual LED will flash. The light set comes with batteries and clips to mount to your seat post or your belt.

After a long fought battle by CTC the law changed in 2005 to make BS approved flashing lights legal in the UK.

I saw this deal on here and went straight out to get these, and can confirm they were £4.50, the shop had about 10 left. I also picked up a helmet for a tenner so I had better hot and rep you.

Thanks.

The lights are rebadged from the Smart Polaris range,

I have the kidney shaped rear one and the predecessor of the front one.

Expect to pay £4 - £5 for the rear - and the front retails at £20ish in bike shops - but normal people pay £7 - £10.

So its a good deal.

Does anyone know if these are available in the Sainsburys Locals (or whatever they call the little shops), or is it just the big stores?

Plenty of small shops round my area but not a big store close by...
