alright for £50 but has never been worth £199!

Quite, plus the picture seems to only be a render. They don't actually a have a photograph of the product.

I've got a 50 inch plasma and i don't feel secure with it balancing on a bit of glass. Old fashioned wood for me!

I wouldn't worry. I've got a 36" CRT on a similar glass stand. The crt is about twice as heavy as a 50" plasma and I've not had any problems. You gotta remember the glass is toughened.

Yep it is toughened glass. If you see the technology that we have now which was seen on James May's 20th Centuary. An old school mini dropped about 7 foot onto a quite large piece of glass on blocks - didn't break at all!

Just make sure you use the biggest width one as the top one since that is what it is designed for - the heavier weight

How do you get free delivery on this, I have a basket with over £50.00 worth of goods in it but there is still a delivery charge being applied.
