take it this is a copy of the original....

This is a third party or some might say Fake version.

Might be cheaper than the £17 real one, but is it really worth it? as who knows if this works correctly, or if it does work when Nintendo will stop it working.. waste of money in my opinion.

Its probably made in the same factory in China

Of course it's fake - what do you expect from DX?
I have bought Wii controllers from them which are half the price, indistinguishable from the original and work great.
If you consider that most products are made in China regardless, you maybe wouldn't be so sniffy about 3rd party items.

We need someone who's actually bought one of these for their opinion. I'd buy a copy wiimote but not sure about one of these...

I do understand the argument and if we were talking about £5 for these then I think it would be worth the gamble, but currently I don't think it's a 'hot deal' as it only £6 less than a real one.

But of course this is my opinion.. so take it with a pinch of salt.

If you have insurance with MoreThan you can go through their site (http://more4me.morethan.com/) and get 7.5% discount from 'The Hut' making it only £13.26 delivered for a proper one. I did this the other day and just waiting for delivery!

£14.95 at Zavvi then use one of your £2.50 vouchers if you got one, hardly makes it worth the hassle?

That said, it is cheap so i choose not to vote either way.

But then you need to take into account that DX can take two months to deliver, had that happen 6 out of the las 9 purchaces.

Absolutely doubt that very much. Most of the 'copies' on DealExtreme are really really poor. They do a job if you are on a budget but if you want it to work properly and last then get the original.
