Call of Duty: Black Ops is on course for a scheduled release date in November 2010 and sources have revealed that it will be set between World War II and the present day.

The game is also hinted to feature the popular zombie mode, in which players are confronted with waves of zombies, an extra that was made popular by Treyarch-developed Call of Duty:World at War.

The Treyarch-developed shooter is rumoured to take gamers across the planet, including missions set in Cuba and South America, according to Call of Duty website experts Tek9, who have talked to 'undisclosed sources at Activision'.

Players will also reportedly get the chance to play as a member of the Special Air Service (SAS) during a close combat mission in the Iranian embassy siege during the 1980's.

PC gamers will be given the additional bonus of dedicated servers according to the report, to alleviate some of the problems gamers experienced with previous titles.

Why would anybody want to pre-order something this far in advance and for a price that's likely to be between £10 - £20 more than it'll cost you in a supermarket ??

Treyarch releases are never as good as Infinity Ward releases. It'll be a high price for a short time under the Activision brand then within a month or 2 you will be able to buy it for £25.

Pre-ordering at this price is only for die hard fans that want to have the game on day 1 so they can spout mince about how they played it on or even before the official release date.

Like the other reply, this will be used by the major supermarkets to bring people in store so the stores will be selling it at a greatly reduced price like £30 around the release date.

I know its 'leet' to say this rubbish, but as a 10th prestige on COD 4&5 (7th on cod6 so far) I can say truthfully that I enjoyed COD5 (treyarch) more than COD4 (IW). From the moment COD6: MW2 has been released its been completely full of cheats/boosters/JTAG idiots, IW have just taken the couldn't care less approach. Yes they developed the game engine and treyarch just make the maps and guns to go on that engine but at least treyarch work hard and quickly fix problems with games where IW are too far up their own ar$e$ to admit there are massive problems with the game.

Pretty much all of the staff of Infinity Ward have left (after the top two in charge were fired)... so I wouldn't even hold your breath for for IW version of COD. Rumours are that, as there arent many left there, that Activision are going to shut down the IW studios.

Less than half, also MW3 is in production so they may shift it to sledgehammer. Hopefully it won't go to GayArch, as it'd end up like their previous cods... sh*te.

BF:BC2 :whistling: , not even in the same league IMO, completely different game, very slow amd awkward feeling to me. I sold it once I finished the single player, tried mulitplayer for a couple of days but its so old feeling. Each to their own though, be boring if we all liked the same things.
