If you reserve the Sony Playstation® 3 at Comet for a £50 deposit you will be placed in a reservation queue. We are operating on a 'first come first served' basis, so the earlier you join the reservation queue the more likely you are to receive a console on the release date.
As soon we have confirmation from Sony of console, games and accessories allocations we will put together a number of great value launch packages#. Please note that Playstation® 3 consoles that have been pre-ordered will only be supplied in packages and not stand-alone.
Once the launch packages are confirmed, you will then be e-mailed full details and asked to contact us to confirm and pay* for your choice of launch package, as well as select your preferred delivery date.
Please note, pricing for the PlayStation® 3 and launch packages is subject to confirmation.
As Sony have not yet allocated stock to UK retailers, we are currently unable to guarantee that you will receive your PlayStation®3 console on the release date. However all preorders of Playstation®3 consoles will be delivered on or from the release date of the 23rd March. Please note, as the PlayStation®3 in very high demand and supply is likely to be restricted, you may only make one reservation per household##.
To avoid disappointment, please ensure that your contact details are correct so that we can keep you up to date with any potential problems with your reservation. Once the stock arrives, we will attempt to contact you 3 times to arrange delivery. If we are unsuccessful, or you do not respond within 1 week, your details will be removed from the reservation queue and your deposit refunded.

What happens when the Playstation® 3 launches?
Once Comet has received its initial stock allocation we will make 3 attempts to contact those customers who first pre ordered a console to confirm and pay* for their choice of launch package and arrange delivery. If we cannot contact you and we do not hear from you within 1 week, you will lose your place in our reservation queue. Please note, all pre-order deposits for the Sony Playstation® 3 will be refunded to the original credit / debit card. Comet will endeavour to refund your deposit as soon as possible, however please allow up to 2 weeks for the deposit to be credited to your account.
Will all customers that pre-order Playstation® 3 get their console on the release date?
Currently, Comet cannot guarantee that all customers will receive their console on the release date. Demand for the Playstation® 3 is expected to be extremely high, and at present stock levels for launch are not known. As a result, Comet is restricting pre-orders to one per household##. We are also operating on a first come first served basis, so the earlier you join the reservation queue the more likely you are to receive a console on release.
# Comet will offer a choice of a number of entry level packages with a choice of one game, as well as step up packages with two games, three games and accessories.
*Please note, in order to speed up the payment process, we are unable to refund your deposit at the time we take payment for the launch package. Comet will endeavour to process this refund do this as soon as possible, however please allow up to 2 weeks for the deposit to be credited to your account.
