Cheapest deal now the "DUALSHOCK3" product has been removed completely from DVD.co.uk (where is was £17.99 + postage).
#3
Where does it say that this a Dualshock 3? It doesn't mention that anywhere.
#4
thers sum cheaper ones somewhere

came to £23

cant remember the link tho, second best price ;)

Pursuant to the introduction of this new six-axis sensing system, the vibration feature that is currently available on DUALSHOCK and DUALSHOCK2 controllers for PlayStation and PlayStation2, will be removed from the new PS3 controller as vibration itself interferes with information detected by the sensor.

i.e. it's not dualshock

No, it's doesn't. Why did you presume it was?

I think they said that because you mentioned DS3 despite this deal being for a sixaxis?
#8
anyway, I'm lost...why would you pre-order a standard controller when the ds3 is available??

Ah... sorry I should have been more explicit. This is the cheapest official controller for the PS2 now that the "DUALSHOCK3" product at £17.99 have been removed from the other supplier's site.

Unless anybody knows different and/or can recall where a cheaper SIXAXIS has been seen previously.

"Stock Due In" refers to the controllers that can be ordered now prior to the supplier receiving sufficient quantities from their distribution centre, perhaps, but not necessarily because stock levels have been exhausted, or because this is a new line for them.

The "DUALSHOCK 3" controller is not out officially in the UK until "Spring 2008". Any orders for this will be a pre-order.

Either way, I'd wait until the "DUALSHOCK 3" is down to £20 or thereabouts. The "rumble" feature isn't a "must have" in my option. I typically switch it off when playing anyway.

Because there aren't any 'proper' shops selling the DS3 in the UK.

Since the sixaxis has not reached that price to date, I doubt the DS3 will either.

The "DUALSHOCK 3" is going to be bundled with the new, large capacity, PS3, due out in the States in the next few months. The existing 80Gb model is going to be dropped to be replaced by either a 120Gb or a 160Gb based machine. It won't be long before the UK (and Europe) follows this lead & all new PS3 consoles will be bundled with the "DUALSHOCK 3" controller (or plural).

As soon as the "DUALSHOCK 3" is not just available at CD-WOW.com & on eBay (apart from importing yourself from the various overseas suppliers), then the existing SIXAXIS controllers will drop to £20 or less.

Sorry, it seemed like you were saying that you were waiting for the DS3 to drop below £20.

The DS2 is still around £12? despite being 6/7? years old. I don't bother with rumours and comparions with the US and the like personally.

What I was saying was the SIXAXIS for the PS3 is a great controller and doesn't need a rumble feature. I have a (white) "DUALSHOCK 3" from Asia & I don't use the rumble feature. Personally I wish I had saved my outlay & just bought another SIXAXIS to replace the one (ouf the four I have) that broke.

Where's all these sub £20 sixaxis controllers?
