On the note of the Xbox thread the other day in the Romford Gamestation, they were doing a preowned Gamecube with a controller and Mario Kart, a very decent game all for £25.00, in one of them special boxes.

went to carlisle store today, no mariokart deal :( They did have the highly excellent resident evil4 as a deal, for £24.99 and a pokemon one for £34.99. Their 4 for £20 range of games are truly awful....

good deal - I sold mario kart for £25 on play.com last week!

Not much good to me though as I have a wii so don't need a cube.

worto.

If it's the version of Mariokart that comes with the bonus Zelda Collectors edition disc then you should buy it.

Initial outlay - £25
Price CEX pay for a Gamecube - £8
Mariokart on eBay - £15
Zelda Collectors Edition on eBay - £15
Total profit - £13 (and if you want one of the three items then you get it for free).

Got to be hot vote, certainly a vastly under-rated console in my opinion with some very good games, which I'm sure recent converts to the Wii are finding out. Technically it was certainly superior to the PS2, and to be honest not all that far behing the original XBox. Strange how it suffered as everybody thought it was a bit too kiddy orientated, but how the Wii has been unbelievably successful thanks to its family orientated games! (OK and hugely innovative control system!)

stores been doing it for about a month now

And I'll let you in on a secret the limited 1's (Mario kart, Res and pokemon) are all new concoles, we just have to sell as pre-owned.

Also the pokemon 1 comes with a memory card :P

picked up a brand new black console for 24.99 at gamestation.

was marked as preowned, didnt want the resi console and the cube looks excellent in black.

now to pick up resident evil and a memory card and i'll be *hitting myself for months!

I'm surprised Gamecube games are still selling these days as if you're a Nintendo fan you're likely to have a Wii and can just download games for a lot less.

I don't think that you can buy many (if indeed any) Gamcube games. They'd be too big and fill the memory too quickly!

Download for less legally? most gamecube games are £1-£5 second-hand in pawn shops/gamestation. I'm not aware of anywhere that you can download gamecube games (legally) for less.

My gcn is modded with a viper chip, and I think I'll pick up a second one to put the dvd emulator board in to play games from hard drive/micro sd (which you can't do with the wii ;> ) once it is release.

Just got a resi evil- again, sealed new (and the bloke in the shop pointed this out to me) for £24.99 here in Cardiff. Top deal!
