Preowned Singstar Wireless Mics £7.98 Wired Mics Bundled with Disney Sing it 98p, Wired Mics £1.98, Move Charger 48p @ Game instore
I passed GAME today and thought I'd take a look if they were selling anything off cheap. I grabbed TV Superstars for £2.98 and grabbed a move charger for 48p.
On the off-chance that I just asked if they had any singtar mics going cheap and the guy went and looked in the back. He returned with a set of wireless and a set of wired and didn't know how much they were so scanned them. The wireless came up as £7.98 and the Wired at £1.98.
Then the manager came out and said "How much did the scan for?" (and me thinking that she was going to refuse to sell them to me).
"You may as well get these bundled with a game for 98p instead.
So all in all, this came to £12.42 in total. I didn't buy the wired ones at £1.98 so they should still be there (Horwich Middlebrook) at £1.98 if the staff didn't buy them.
If you're after the singstar stuff, make sure you ask. This is the 3rd GAME store I've been in looking for mics but the first time I've bothered asking.

Jump to unread Post a CommentThat's what I was thinking until I asked him about singstar. Also asked him to check for Buzz, which he did, but they didn't have it.
Still worth asking if they have buzz remotes or singstar mics if you need them :) (not that I know how much buzz would be, but all their pre-owned stuff is going for peanuts). The wireless ones go for £15-£20 on ebay. I was about to pay that too until today.
I love how they're labelling it as a "Spring Clearance" rather than a closing down sale.
didn't look too hard as have no games for em

I'm definitely going to be hunting for some of those then. Thanks Mr Potato.
Wouldn't they also be if you bought them new and got your own (and your mate Dave's) drunken slobber on them?
I'm not too sure. It seems that in-house they're deluding the staff. The guy that served me told me that it was all media talk regarding the EA disagreement. I didn't want to bring up other evidence, i.e. share prices, but he seemed completely confident that they were going to stay afloat.
This was not a remote store. This was at Middlebrrok retail park. It does seem rather un-businesslike that when I was happy paying £2 for the wired mics, the manger came out and said "no, don't buy those. These scan at 98p and come bundled with a game".
I know it's only a pound, but if the company are that hard up, sure the mentality should be to get the customer to spend more.
No because the idea of doing karaoke in front of anyone but my girlfriend and even then after asubstantial amount of Morgans Spiced is unthinkable. The idea of singing alongside mate drunken Dave does not appeal i'm afraid. Despite his personal hygiene levels.
Anyone, I'm one of those freaks who carry antibac gel around and use it when I have just pushed a trolley in Sainsbury's because 80% of colds/flu are contracted with hand contact.
