In Blockbuster stores you can get a Preowned Wii + Any preowned game for £159.99.

Six months warranty with the console.
I picked up a Wii with Mario & Sonic at the Olympics on the weekend, obviously includes Wii Sports as well.

Freezing, you can get a brand new one and a game for 20 quid more.
#3
For about £20/£30 extra you could have a new wii (12 moths warranty) + a preowned game.

Have a look through some of the FS/FT threads and they seem to go for around this price 2nd hand anyway.

The equivalant new deal is £190 in Zavvi, so almost 20% more expensive

Given that preowned wii's are selling for £150 on their own in gamestation and i haven't seen cheaper anywhere else, even on here, I would say this is a hot deal. £10 for a game and going rate for a preowned wii seems fair to me - so tempting......must resist....

I know the feeling, Blockbuster are basically doing a Wii for £159.99 and any preowned game free.

Yeah I could have spent £30 more and got a new one, but it works its in great condition and instead I've purchased:
Mario Party 8, Super Monkey Ball, Trauma Centre, Super Mario Galaxy all for £45 (all preowned and from internet so that £205 for a Pre-Owned wii with all the above and Wii Sports, Mario & Sonic and 6 months warranty!

Yeah but thats without a game - this is with ANY preowned game

Either I've missed the point or other people have.

Yes, you can get a new one from Zavvi with any game for £190 - I should know I initally posted the link!
But you can go in Blockbuster look at the console nad its condition and if your happy - I dont think mine will 'die' afte 6 months and before 12 months and pick up one for £159 saving yourself £30.

Its not for everyone agreed, I wouldnt buy a 2nd hand xBox360 but this is cheaper than new and for 2nd hand its a good price.

If something is PREOWNED/REMANUFACTURED I expect to pay about 70% of its RRP ( I think this is acceptable). Therefore I would expect to pay £125 (RRP £179).

I agree, this price is too high for goods which are not new

And have you actually seen a preowned wii sell ANYWHERE for £125???

It's the rules of supply and demand at work....they go for more than £150 on Ebay but without the peace of mind of a warranty (although most on ebay say they are within warranty, it is very rarely transferable to a new owner).

There is no point in saying this deal is cold just because it isn't the price YOU think you should pay for a preowned wii. I don't disagree that something second hand should be available for approx 70% of RRP but that just isn't possible with the wii.

You should only be voting cold if you can find this cheaper elsewhere?

Problem is, if you are selling the Wii how much do you want from the shop? people expect over £100 nowadays and people like Gamestation offer £115 trade and when you want to buy you want to pay 50-70% off the new price, which is silly and does not make sense.

Yep, and in my local one they had all the latest titles hence I picked up Mario & Sonic
