Many people might have seen the website I am posting.

You can have prescription glasses online for Just $25.99 delivered (thats roughly £13).

Good part is that you can get 10% on quidco as well. Even better part is that you pay in US $ and the 10% is in GBP. So on $25.99 glasses you will get £2.6 (yes GBP) quidco (your cost roughly £10.40).

That is excellent price for a big variety of glasses unlike glasses direct.

Link takes you to quidco (so you dont miss out). Just search goggles4u there.

Glasses are posted from Pakistan and normally take under 2 weeks. Some people have posted on diff forums that they go wrong sometime with presc but the CS give you free replacement if it happens.
- webkami

"glassses" get you 5% discount on top of that. Not sure if quidco works after that. Thanks to topcat for code
- webkami

CODE IS "GLASSES" given by TOPCAT - just 2 'SS' NOT 3!! Are you sure you had yours on when typing LOL!!?!!
- amibees

Another code "GlassyEyes" for extra 5% - Thanks to slate

Please keep in mind:
* They can mess up the glasses sometimes, specially with higher prescriptions. CS offers refund or replacement in these cases.
* Photosun coating is not as good as you get on high street.

Thanks bomberman for quick comment.

P.S. my first post please be polite....

Mate of mine got some glasses from here.. They were ok, but very heavy.

I bought mine from Spexmaniac, which use the lightweight 1.6 plastic as standard.

Goggles4U are apparently US based but my glasses were delivered from "Farukh" in Karachi. Great prescription and soooo easy once you suss out how to get the right frames - make sure you get all measurements right!
I was well chuffed - packaging is cool! Glasses in hard case/ polystyrene protection/hand sewn cotton envelope. Seems secure- Paypal, didn't use Quidco - D'oh!!!!
I've recommended to others and would do so again!
Heat and rep added
I got code "glasses" for 20% discount on last pair -not sure if it's expired - worth a punt

Also would like to add that if you are after photosun (automatic shade changing) glasses they charge $36 (£18 ish) extra. Not sure how much other websites charge.
The quality of photosun coating in not that good. One from SpecSavers was much better (but expensive aswell - £40ish).

Glasses are great quality, comparable to any UK highstreet.

i've used these for myself and g/f. highly recommended
#7
They deliver with so many protective layers and extra nose rest pieces/cleaning cloth.
Farrukh always delivers min too. :) I think they should add company name. I didnt have a clue the first time I got package in post.

Thanks topcat

No probs
Always a pleasure!
I'm just glad there are other goggle-maniacs out there
Thought I was a bit of a saddo! :giggle:

Used the 3 times now and always been pleased. Sometime difficult to get an impression of frame colour from the pics (my brown frames were more golden!). Also a better frame search facility wouldnt go amiss! Gutted i only just found out about the quidco :( but they do a 15% discount for repeat customers.

Nice find I'm in need of updating my glasses. I will give this a try cheers voting hot ;)
#11
Definitely worth a go Johnnie
#12
Thanks dblake & johnnie.

Yes the search facility on website is not that good. I think they should also add weight of frame. (I dont think any website adds that).

Not sure if you can use both discount and quidco. DAMN if I missed it. :(
#13
ive used this place quite a few times, might have to go find this farukh guy next time im in pak!
#14
If you check on website, I think theres also a discount for referring a friend!
These glasses are well worth a go even just for a holiday pair - speaking from experience - they would come in really handy!!!!
Watch the temperature rise!
#15
I have had glasses from here and the quality is good for the price. Had to tighten them up myself, and the finish around the lenses isn't brilliant, but they're excellent for £13 for a pair of rimless glasses, and I would recommend them.
#16
Thanks topcat, added code in the top post.
It gives 5% on top of quidco in my experience.

these 4m pakistan?!

yeah the company is based in the us but the glasses are made and shipped from pakistan, helps to keep the cost down since theres no minimum wage etc
#31
"glassses" lol

Yeah I had them on but I think I need some sleep....

I've used these guys twice in the past, and the glasses have been useless on both occasions.

I have moderate short sight and moderate astigmatism. Despite them assuring me that it wouldn't be a problem, the glasses were hopelessly poorly-focussed. When I contacted them, they told me to draw on the lens (using a permanent marker) to indicate where my pupils were, and then return the glasses - at my own expense - to Pakistan in order to get a replacement pair.

Given the cost involved, I didn't bother, and wrote off the £50 or so which I'd spent on the specs.

I'm sure they're great if you have a very simple prescription, but I've learned from this experience that NOTHING beats going into a local optician and being certain that the glasses will be perfect for you when you walk out the door.
#33
thx for your finding. I've ordered 1 pair, just 13 GBP instead of 100 GBP in high-street store (ofcourse, different quality, but hopefully acceptable quality for great price)
#34
Just out of interest - why isnt Tax payable on these things when they arrive in the post? Are glasses Tax Free then?
#35
I bought from them and their prescription was no good. they replaced them and still no good so they refunded the money.

webkami any connection with the company?
#36
this is also a 5% discount code that seems to work now:
GlassyEyes

Hi,

I bought some lovely 'Designer' Semi-Rimless framed specs from this company a while back and they cocked up on my prescription.

I emailed them and they were truly apologetic and offered a full rerfund which I accepted) I then sent the frames off to www.Spex4less and got them glazed for £15.00.

I still use them now. Semi rimless pair of specs for £15.00. Brilliant.

Use www.spex4less.co.uk for an alternative to these. Not as cheap but very good service.
#38
I've used these guys before and was very pleased with their service and the quality of the glasses. I checked www.squidoo.com/glasses to find out where I should go and decided to gice them a try. For £14 I thought I would throw them out if rubbish. Will use them again and happy to recommend.

webkami any connection with the company?

not at all. :)

Was just using and reading about them in forums and thought of sharing (specially double quidco tip).
I tried my best to give a neutral view and pointed out where they are not so good:

* They can mess up the glasses sometimes, specially with higher prescriptions.
* Photosun coating is not as good as you get on high street.

Any more to add to list I will be happy to add to first post.
