absolutely agree..
1. Saves hell lot of fuel.
2.Can be used for steaming various types of items using adapter.
2. Very good to cook indian style curries and beef..
Cons
1. Not sure if it has a washer type thing.. which goes bad in an year.
You mean a gasket? :) If it's made of silicone rubber it shouldn't perish.
Hard-anodised aluminium is safe, but not regular aluminium like this one.

I think its fine...plus if you are really worried about it, remember never to eat out again as most commercial kitchens use giant 'soft aluminium' pots to cook large scale quantities.......
