That's a good price for a good quality set of pans. Heat and rep added.

The missus tried to con me and get me to buy a new set, but we already have a pan set from the same comany under there Meyer cookware brand. Stunning pans and will make other sets look like they are made of tin

as an aside; if I bought a new set, she'd probably want a new kitchen as there have a lifetime warranty:roll:

Not suitable for induction hobs but a good price nonetheless.

The difference is that the set you have linked to is non-stick - some people prefer it, some don't. Personally I prefer without non stick as the non stick coating gets scratched off and ends up in your food!

The RRP of £142 is a complete joke. This have been available from argos for ages at £69.99 so not quite the spectacular bargain they might at first seem. Not a bad price though for an average quality pan set. Dont expect these to be top quality though.

There is an incredible difference in non stick coatings. cheap no brand pans usually = very cheap caotings. But there is one golden rule with regard to non stick, Only use plastic, nylon or wooden utensils for stirring etc.
I have nothing to do with Debenhams so go and find a store that sell the Prestige or Meyer cook sets and you will see and feel the difference.

Can anyone confirm if the handle gets hot on these?

I use both, non stick for certain jobs and normal steel for most things. I've never had trouble with the coating coming off though.

Usually metal handles warm up if the pan is not completely covering the hob the handle is partially over the heat and is heated directly. Otherwise I find metal handles stay just warm.

Thats not true at all. Even professional pan sets can have handles that get too hot, hence why most chefs use a tea towel when picking pans up.
