Not sure I'd agree with that. Anyone got one of these and able to post a review at all? Seriously tempted at that price

received this today..sexy as hell out of the box..remote even have a chromish wheel in the centre...picture was rubbish out of the box but once i configured tru the pic menu i cudnt telll the dif between this nad my 42" tosh..have to say im not impressed with the sound...poor base but then again for a 19 incher u prob cnat ask for more.
bought this for recording olimpics since i dont have sky plus...records in four diff quality..xp being the best...good thing to note is that the hard drive is detachable so if it fails u can always send it off without losing ur tv for a bit.....maite even be able to upgrade the hard disk to larger capacity with a standard 3.5" drive...good deal i think..

Lionsound, why are you talking in textspeak? Is it too hard to type proper english words? I would be interested to know what you changed your settings to for improved picture...

I got mine today as well. I have only been able to play with it for a few minutes. Initial impressions are that the menu system is responsive, channel change is quick. One small problem is if you are viewing Freeview and turn the tv off, when you turn it back on you get a "DVB Booting..." message for about 5-8 seconds and then the freeview starts.

Initial setup is very easy and straight forward. Initially its just analogue and then when you switch to freeview you have to setup that. took about a minute to do channel scan which is pretty good in my opinion. The screen itself is decent but is not an MVA/PVA panel as once you get past a certain viewing angle the colours change which is consistent with TN screen.

Well I have to say I am very impressed with this. Not only does it do PVR, you can copy the mpg file to a USB pendrive and copy that to your computer. Not only that, it can play xvid movie files too from the usb pendrive. You can copy the xvid viles to the HDD. It can also do photo slideshows.
I need to find the favourites list to remove all the topup tv **** from my channel list.
