Wow such a big name in the NW fails but I guess it's a sign of the times like price of gold , gems, fewer weddings, engagements & possibly the north south divide

Rather concerned until I checked their site and it is only the Bolton store that is closing!

The local store Guildford are very helpful

Ye, definitely right about the engagements, weddings. You wanna get married in June now, you can practically book somewhere the week before! It used to be you had book years ahead.

I'd be surprised if they put anything in the sale that they know will sell well, as they only have to transfer those items to Wilmslow or Leeds, both relatively near. So what's left maybe would have been sale items anyway? ...just a thought...

........you can add to that gold retirement watches, graduation jewellery and coming of age besides most prefer iphones or gadgets or money
Same story in Asian jewellery as the number of sellers on wimmy rd rusholm has plummeted

No, honestly, there's some decent stuff in the sale. And you know you're getting the quality.

Do you know though, they've always been stockists for Rolex, Tag etc, which have risen dramatically in popularity in recent years.

Ha, I remember I was allowed to keep my first weeks wage for myself- I bought a gold rope bracelet :) I think people generally used to buy more gold and diamond jewellery.

I'm PRAYING it will be a Spoons so the horrible old one can go, or perhaps keep that one for all the low lifes and we can go to a nice new one! For such a big town, it's shocking there are only 2 Spoons including all the suburbs!
