Mods, please move this to freebies if necessary. I wasn't too sure about where to put this as it requires a text - figured deals was the right place for it.

So if you're a mobile customer and you don't text which location you want the ticket for....how do they know where you want one for? I've texted and got a code but no mention of which location this code will work...

I also got the tickets, and I think we just go to the particpating cinema we would like to go. I hope Edinburgh LR means the one on Lothian Road, there is no way I'm travelling to Edinburgh Wester Hailes!

I got a text ticket & so did hubby with the same code, one was using the mobile way & the other the broadband quoting the requested cinema - I assume that they know your local cinema from the details that you registered your phone with??
#7
Can anyone confirm whether or not you have to pay anything to send the text? Thank you

Edit: It is free
#8
Texted them, with 'JOIN' plus my email, to that exact number...then got a text back, informing me that they're not able to register me D:
I don't want to call up customer support. I wanna see Juno, too.

This is a fantastic film, and very funny/Cute .. Definitely worth a watch!!
#10
But what then if you're payg and haven't registered or have moved since you registered.....
#11
Not sure if the texts from PAYG are free, but I got my ticket for Stoke-on-Trent.

It doesn't matter that they don't have the location, each code is unique and can only be used once.

Is This Film Going To Be Any Good - That's The Big Question!? Not Worth Booking A Babysitter Otherwise.
#13
Watched this last night..

.. definitely will be in my best of 2008 list at the end of the year.

Absolutely excellent!
#14
Saw this in the US before Christmas. Good comedy/drama worth going to see.
#15
Cool! Glad people are getting tickets - my mate said its a fun film starring the lass who was in Hard Candy

Disappointed it's nowhere near me. Roger Ebert made it his film of the year http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071213/REVIEWS/712130303

received tickets for Greenwich London....hot deal....

Sent off my text but no reply? eep. Will keep waiting.

I really hope I get my ticket because I can't wait to see this film! It's got the guys from Arrested Development in and they never disappoint.

I have never done this before so excuse me if I am being thick, but what do I do with this text? Just copy down the number they have sent me and show it to someone when I get there? or so I have to show them the text on my phone as a 'ticket'. Also how do I know if I turn up they're going to let me in, what if the cinema is full...if there's a chance I will get turned away I don't want to waste my time...

Show the text on your phone to them, and they will issue you the tickets. Normally, the cinema won't be full and we can always get in. However, it happened to me once, but that's because the cinema didn't know about the screening, so they gave everyone one free ticket instead.

PS: by the way, you better save this text to your sim card just in case.

Watched this the other day on dvd screener, its well worth going to see

"Sent off my text but no reply? eep. Will keep waiting."

Same thing happened to me (and I sent my text around the same time as you). Nothing arrived so I tried again about an hour ago and it came through straight away.

Will be watching tonight, gets great reviews!

I did what is in the previous post (text JUNO and name of the cinema to 2412) and only got a standard 'Orange Wednesday' text back saying I had a code for 2 for 1 for tonight, did anyone else get this? BTW, I went for Glasgow Quay Odeon. I'm a pay monthly Orange customer and I've used the 241 thing plenty of times in the past. I'm confuddled!

I don't really know how to sort the problem, since I already got the tickets yesterday. But I'd try only text "Juno" to 2412 and to see what happen.

this film is wizard cool...honest to blog ;)

The writer (Diablo Cody) is a former stripper :w00t:

I obtained my ticket using the original method which seemed a bit haphazard but don't expect it to be full at my cinema so will take a chance that the open ticket will be cool.

Thanks for the updated info.

i have got a code for Cov but don't know what time the screenings are? does anyone know - I think it may be 6.30 but can't be sure.

oh boy, have read the post and seen the time of film, feel very embarrassed!
#31
Got my tickets for Warrington - not my closest but Cheshire Oaks seems to rarely get them (although I saw "Walk Hard" there last week which Mrs Lazy and I both enjoyed - just dumb fun).

This will be my 4th free film in 6 months - can anyone beat that? (Superbad, Hand of the Gods, Walk Hard and Juno)

It's absolutely pi**ing down here so I've had to forfeit the chance to see this film for free...
