When some people see i7, SSD and a dedicated GPU they have the feeling to have a good rig.
Of course if you are a casual gamer, it's not much of a problem but if you are looking for a good system configuration, having a good motherboard, PSU and RAM make a difference.

Yup, guilty! that's me alright, I did check out Chillblast but couldn't get near this entry price with an i7 chip, granted it was a K model and better mobo, as you say for the casual user this is more than enough and plenty bang for your bucks.

Cold, With a system like this when you start to push it you'd ideally want to add more RAM. There is only 2 slots and they are already maxed out

Don't think that's right Coolio, just done a scan on Crucial and the max ram is 16gb, so to say it's maxed out is wrong and misleading, although you are quite right about the two slots you would buy the 16gb kit anyway.

I've sent an enquiry to Medion support re the memory issue (8gb-2x4 or 16gb-2x8) in case any peeps interested, the scan defo showed up as having a max config of 16384MB so I'm pretty sure that'll be right enough.

Thats been confirmed from Medion, defo 16GB max config, DDRIII 1600 / 1333 MHz (16GB max)

What psu wattage does this have installed?

What psu wattage does this have installed?

I'ts a 450w psu sparcus, the graphics card has a low power draw (see here - http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-ti-1225593/review#null ) apart from the price drop, I'm really chuffed with it so far.

Just a wee update on this, just in case anyone is considering this purchase, had a quick look at the internals, it has three PCI Express slots 1 x PCIe x 16 (graphics occupying this) and 2 PCIe x 1, unfortunately one of these is blocked by the fan on the graphics card, so expansion is severely limited, on the plus side, it does have six usb 3 ports (2 @ the front) and four usb 2 ports, mobo also supports 8 channel audio, just a wee heads up.
