I was in Tesco (Reading) today and picked up a Smarties Egg (with tube) 158g (or thereabouts). It was marked up as £1 in the seasonal aisle. When it scanned, it did so at £2.50. I noticed on my way out of the shop. You get double the difference, so I got £3 back for my £2.50 outlay. The same ones were also marked up as £1.25 by the entrance, so if you might get £2.50 back and not £3.
Unfortunately I only bought one.

So you either get 50p back, or get it for free.

will probably have be sorted by now. Price glitches like that are usually store specific and get sorted as soon as someone makes them aware of it

I was tempted to try my local but even if it was available, I'd end up eating them and putting on loads of weight.

Well done op for getting them at this price.

"so I got £3 back for my £1 outlay"

Surely you got £3 back for your £2.50 outlay? Either way that makes this very good, but i doubt many others will get it :(.

This worked for me last week with the 'Buy 1 Get 2 Free' Easter Egg Offer. They were priced at £3 but scanned through the till at £6. So got £6 back and 3 free eggs. Took them a few hours to notice!
