I hope they do, the only thing putting me off purchasing Conviction was the awful UbiDrm.

The Steam version has the "awful UbiDrm" as well, could buy it anyway and use a crack...

Shame as Conviction is well worth playing, allthough mine didnt come with any DRM. All these Steam deals recently have been reforming me, but just read up on Ubidrm and wow, it look's like more grief using a legit copy these days!
The PS3 PoP seemed alright to me but I didn't get far because I had some overwhelming amount of work to do halfway through.

I figured the same, but what happens when the DRM servers go down? Ubisoft decide they are going to puill them down x years from now? (will they patch out the DRM?) You don't have an internet connection at the time you want to play for whatever reason? Too many variables could leave you unable to play the game you paid your harded earn cash for. Atleast the likes of Steam have an offline mode.
