But why has this gone up nearly treble in a year..........

Supermarkets are marking products up big time, then mentioning words like price crunch etc, trying to make us think we have got a bargain.

I bought the 3 tins just as an old lady put 2 in her trolley. I followed her and tried to explain that if she put another 1 in her trolley it would save her money, but she got quite shirty and was adamant that she only wanted 2 and I should mind my own business. That was my last good deed of the day.

Were they really 69p a year ago? No was can price tripple in a year! Supermarkets do take us for fools, but its a shame most ppl don't realise it. Every time I see a tesco offer i laugh, as its normally more expensive than a normal price at someother store or they have half priced it just after doubling the price.

Yes,tbh you might have even got one for less,I was only paying 80p for a large tin (418gms) of this.http://i.groceries.asda.com/PRODUCT/19/52/P-205219-f.gif which is now £1.55

Check out Netto's leaflet starting Thursday, showing as 75 pence each, these buy 1 get 2 free deals just over emphasise how marked up their regular prices are now.
