That's bigger than my house. Do you need a building permit for that thing?¿ X)

how long would it take a skilled camper to put it up?

how long would it take a total noob to do so?

Proceed with caution. I had one of these tents and took it back after one trip. It hads lots of bits missing and did not go up at all well.
#7
Apparently half to three quarters of an hour!

now I am not going to harp up and be a tent snob this is a super price for a large family tent but be weary of poor constructed fabric and with only a 2000HH I wouldnt like to rely on this bad weather, nice sunny mild weather ot should be fine but I have seen so many supermarket/budget tents ruining peoples camping trips..

@mark88, skilled or non skilled you still have to get aquainted with a new tent but flexipole system tents are relatively easy to get up and something that may take 1hr the first couple of goes you would soon be getting up in 30-40 mins..

I've seen mixed reviews, but mainly good. If I didn't already have a tent (mines a 9 person one) I'd probably buy this :P

I've used a smaller version of this tent for 8 years in Scotland during the spring.

It has endured ferocious wind and rain better than most expensive tents.

Now thats a mighty fine erection!
#12
wow i thought mine was big but that is massive!

2000mm Hydrostatic Head = Pray it does not rain

We have a Coleman tent that is very similar in size and design to this one and for extra comfort I would recommend getting a tent that you can stand up in all the way through, a bit like this type of design...

Really, is it that bad?. I currently have the tent pack from halfords which is 1500mm but it withstood heavy downpour for thebest part of 12 hours

I have a vango diablo 900 which is very similar in shape. I does take 2 people to put up and longer than many tents, about an hour to put up fully. It's a great tent but a lot of work for a weekend, The Vango was much thicker ie higher hydrostatic head so I can't comment on this. I has broken a pole on each occasion after the 3rd trip so make sure you have spares! Great tent especially if its a wet holiday.

Just think about how much money people could save, why buy a house when you can have a tent instead! Save yourself a mortgage and get a portaloo :)

Top marks for getting that.

I wouldn't mind one myself. It's about twice the price of this deal though.

Looks like the sort of tent bin laden would hide in.
