Only if you can find a big enough branch to hang from. Avoid herons.

I would assume its 2 or 3 season judging on the '300'. However down can be warmer than the synthetic fibres, as long as its not wet. ive had a pro action sleeping bag for years and i find them pretty good... for the UK, and similar climates.

I just had to put my specs on, I thought it was a picture of a Batman style ladies mule slipper. :prop:

I picked it up from Argos this afternoon, got to say I'm pretty impressed! i've only ever had synthetic ones and this one is much smaller and warmer, the bag it comes in has 4 adjustable straps that attach to a smaller bag that goes around the top. It took me a while to get it back into the small bag, but that's probably because i didn't roll it up properly!
Build quality seems sound; no feathers poking out or anything - puffs out quite a bit once it's out of the bag. It has an inner chord that can be tightened around the neck and another one around the face. It also zips up from the right hand side only, and has a flap with Velcro that goes over the zip when it is fully zipped up. Has another Velcro flap on the inside of the neck - don't know what it's for - probably making it tighter around the neck.
The bag with the sleeping bag in is about 33cm tall, and about 16cm across (measured flat). The instructions say it can be hand washed only under 30 degrees, and air dried - no tumble drier.
Anyway - i'm going to sleep in it now! :D Thanks OP - will be taking it to the Big Chill!

Hello HotUKDeals peeps - my first post!!

Purchased and used one of these.. it lofts well, is very well made, seems to be waterproof, and was very warm, especially round my feet!

Highly recommended.

For the taller person, I would say 2m (6ft 6") would be a comfortable maximum.

Wow you guys are either homeless, or really into camping :-D

Glad I made the right decision though, spent an hour watching tv in it last night and probably lost half my body weight, its like a sauna! So should be warm outside.

What is lofting?

This sleeping bag has now been reduced to £24.44!

I am going to be returning three bags I bought to the Sheffield Angel Street store at the weekend (bought a handful and offered them to friends - to takers for these three), so if anyone wants one their will be some there by Sunday afternoon.

Going to Bestival tomorrow and once again hotukdeals comes up with the goods! Going to clean out my local stores to try and get 1 left hand and 1 right hand zipped for zip together action. Have reserved 2 in Winchester as a start, wish me luck. I'll come back with a review next week.

Can anyone recommend a good camping pillow solution? We swear by memory foam pillows at home, but don't want to travel with them. Thanks!

I have this pillow:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_208537_langId_-1_categoryId_165733

It's the most lightweight I could find, which still offered comfort and it's only £4.99 delivered! I can't confirm if they have them in store.

Have a great time at the festi!

Happily the 2 in Winchester were left/right so no shopping around required. Initial impressions are very good. Having not bought a sleeping bag for 10 years, they seem very small and light. Easy to unpack and pack (fold in half length ways, then width ways and then roll tight starting from the thin end) and easy to zip together to make a double. Inside they're spacious and there's an internal zipped pocket at the breast.

Here's my other half demonstrating in our garden practice run: http://twitpic.com/h3hwf

Oh and on pillows we bought Eurohike self inflating ones from Millets for £6.99 (I would have bargain hunted, but we go tomorrow!) - small, light, easy to inflate/deflate and can be made very firm if you wish.
