Game is a massive let down imo, but voted hot at that price!

Proof?

Voted hot, excellent price and even though it's different to the old one, it's a lot more tactical and a lot of people prefere it after a while. :)

You can't just come out with something like this and not tell us how you know.

Voted hot. A PS3 game recently released for £20? Good find. Added rep.
#9
It only got a rating of 60% on Gamespot - they criticized the below-par graphics, slowdown and lag and general staleness of the franchise.

I think he works there or is telling porkies.
#11

#13
Voted hot if the price is correct as I paid £32.34 for my son's from The hut!
#14
Great price if true. I will wait until monday until voting on this......
#15
Will Vote when deal is confirmed pointless voting hot and giving a false impression.
#16
very unlikely this happening there currently buying them in secondhand at £30 each
#17
PS3 version is terrible atm, hopefully tho they will release an update to fix the lag problems etc.

Yheap - you could use your "PC" cd in a PS3...

The deals hot for a PS3 platform.
#19
He still wont buy it at that price....he's tighter than a nuns............ :whistling:

i played pro evo6 on x box and loved it ive been so hooked on it!

ive been hearing this one isn't as good, how can they launch a new game and not improve on an old version?

is it worth buying? and would it be better on x box 360 or ps3?
#21
definately its far better on xbox 360 and thats from a PS3 owner ( a very dissapointed one ). I really cant believe they released it like that on the PS3, it really is quite shockingly bad.

Seems a likely price. Last years 360 version fell in price like a stone. No reason to think this won't either after the less than impressive reviews.

I like the game myself (got for this and Stranglehold from gamestation for £40 the other week). PLAY have for £25...

The PC version of PES2007 has been priced at £19.99 ever since before its release date at a few online stores. So if this price is for PC, then its old news.

Personally, I don't like the new PES7. Partly because my graphics card can't handle the game and keeps stuttering without playing online. I have played PES for a couple of years and each time I get the game, I couldn't stop playing for awhile. This hasn't happened this time around; I enjoy playing PES 6 more.

Expired, innit? Xbox / PS3 version is £40, it's the PC one that's £20.

It's not started yet ;-)

I went to buy it pre-owned and the guy in the store advised that I wait. They have weekly specials and this is the next one...

If I'm wrong, you can slaughter me!
#30
Dang!! Paid 25 from Play. Hope this doesnt come true lol. If it is legite its a good price though. Pro evo games usually go down hugely in price on 360. Thats why its worth waiting like a month and getting it for cheaper lol
#31
Having played it on the PC for a week or two, I'm not terribly impressed by Pro Evo 2008 either. I salute them for at least trying to improve the game engine (which is more than games like Madden and NBA Live usually bother to do each year), but I'm not convinced they've actually improved it. It might be more 'realistic', but I don't think that's necessarily made it more fun to play.

And the small stuff they've left out is just stupid. The training section which teaches you parts of the game is gone, advanced searches in the Master League mode don't save so you have to keep re-entering them etc. Don't take stuff out; that's just annoying.

As for the deal the price is obviously great, if it ultimately exists.

I think it takes alot of getting used to. At first I hated it, my first rant was that if I wanted boring realism I'd get fifa. Now I quite like it, wouldnt say it was better than the other proevos but at least its different I have it on PS3 and PC (because the PS3 version was baaaad). If I had never tried pro evo before i would get pro evo 6 tho
#33
I hope this is true :)

Il deffo get it but cant see it happening really tbh.

Could be proved wrong tho
#34
considering its currently £39.99 on the 360 at the moment I struggle to think it will be cut in half as its only jus come out

Normally I would agree with you, but I go past the Gamestation in Lincoln on my way home from work and the other day I noticed that there was a range of games for the 360 that had half price stickers on them. Can't remember which games they were though but I think they were pretty recent games!

All will be revealed on Monday so will hold off voting hot or cold until then:-D
#36
Cashes for £30 at CeX too, watch the price tumble there!

Play had it for only £24.99 recently....
#38
gd price, but suspect reason is it got slated for being a lazy conversion, a lot of bad slow down in game as well as duff graphics.
voted hot for price only:thumbsup:
#39
Indeed Andy. Any true pes fan that has been playing the game since it was called ISS will know that this latest release is very poor for the PS3 and poor for the 360. I sold the PS3 version of this game pretty much straight away, having slowdown in an offline game is terrible. The game coding is all wrong. The 360 version plays much better offline but its quite fast compared to previous Pro evo's. I have now settled for the version on the PC as it can be 'edited' slightly just like PES6 was. HOWEVER...for £20 if you own either console it is worth the £20 so voted HOT!

Disgraceful though, a game that is less than 1 month old has already been cut to half price...Konami might wanna think about that next time they release a half completed version football game!

Just thought I'd mention that I just saw SOFTUK have Fifa 2008 for £20.99 including delivery and 4% cashback if you go through Quidco, so it'll be around £20 as well but it's instock now at that price, rather than waiting if the deal comes through or not on monday like the Gamestation offer or if you prefere the Fifa series above Pes.... even though I'll always prefere PES. :)
