Best football game ever, the 2009 version is basically the same

Great First Post. Welcome!!
2009 version just has updated players.

Cheers

Great deal. Takes a bit of practice but a much more natural game of footy on the Wii when you can pin point passes and crosses around the park and pull players into position as required.
#6
Great game - more like a footy RTS! Amazing deal.

FIFA is for the boys, Pro Evo is for the big boys

I think its pretty undeniable now that FIFA 09 is now the best console soccer game.
Many of us who were Pro Evo through and through now accept that it hasn't kept up.
I made the transition to FIFA on this generation, and it is a better game now.

As for this deal, at this price its worth a quick spin. Even if it keeps the kids quiet for an hour :)

For those saying 09 is the same as 08......
09 lets you use a classic controller for those people that could'nt get to grips with the wii control method (me). This leads to a traditonal style game of Pro Evo, wii 09 feels and plays just how the PS3 version should have done. I've stopped playing FIFA and PES2009 on PS3 and gone for the wii version, keep your fancy visuals, gameplay is what it's about.

I agree with the above quote, the classic controller makes PES09 play like the Pro Evo we all know and love.

I bet your the kind who 'made the transition' from supporting chelsea to man united or whoever wins. Pro Evo is the gameplay winner no doubt.

Got one today for my son, has kept him quiet all afternoon, he says he prefers Fifa on his PS3.....but then he's only 7!!

Picked one up last night @ Wigston Tesco in Leicester. Actually marked at £15, went to the service desk and they reduced it FTW!

Unfortunately a life long LFC sufferer. But I will let you debate that with yourself whilst your playing a realistic game of Pro Evo at 11-9 or some other arcadey nonsense scoreline :)
Loyalty to a football team is one thing, but loyalty to a gaming franchise? You gest surely?
