But if you buy 3 sets, you get them for £24.97.

I know they are a bit thick, but stick them on a barbell bar and if you're a beginner like me you wont need any more for a while.

Now I just need a cheap home squat rack (and find some space to put it!!!)... still looking.

Or if you want cast iron 6 x 20Kg

Now that would be a great deal, but I think you meant 6 x 10Kg

Yep 6x10 Kg, just updated my comment.

don't buy them , they really are rubbish, you are just getting plastic buckets of sand.
Somebody else please warn the op about just how shyte© they are

I've only reserved them, haven't pick them up yet, so am waiting to be persuaded not to, and what the alternatives are for a similar price?

For the price, there's no alternative. You've got me there.
But they will last long as you would expect plastic sand containers to last, i.e. not long at all.
genieuk2008 pointed to a really good deal though.

Cast iron weights are worth £1 a kilo even second-hand, so as long as you can stump-up the purchase price you'll not lose out even if you change your mind about working-out later on,

Id honestly go for cast iron weights. You will outgrow these very quickly.
Gumtree or ebay is your best bet unless younwant to shell out lots

I will say take a good joint support because low cortisol has an effect on joints. Orange triad id recommend or animal flex.
