These are now £4.95 at Argos.. Don't really know how good they are but at £4.98 they're worth a go :) The reviews also look good.

The flavours available are Chocolate and Vanilla.

The are also on a Buy One Get One Half Price offer, so two for £7.47 seems a bargain to me :D

choccy at 4.98...... vanilla is 9.99. still good deal though . i reserved an assortment this afternoon for tomorrow pick up
#3
If you order 10 it only £24.75
#4
As long as you've got space to store them like a garage?

They don't tend to reduce the strawberry because they know full well it's the best tasting and most popular!

Vanilla was a bit meh if memory serves me.

I wouldn't stock up with these without checking the best before date first I bought some pro power stuff last week and the BBE date was 10.09:thumbsup:
#6
This is a good deal. Probably wont taste too pleasant tho. Shame out of stock everywhere near me.
#7
I got a tub last time they were on offer. Do not mix well and taste awful. I chucked it. If you are not particularly fussy about flavour and do not mind using an electric blender every time, then it is cheap if nothing else.

got the last one in York, thanks
#9
Definately use a blender, and milk or smoothie rather than water. Maybe add honey as I do as well.
#10
18g of protein per serving. How big is the serving? 25g or 30g?
#11
Just reserved two at the price of £4.95 - which is odd, would Argos honour it at this price?
Will find out tomorrow and report back, lets hope they do!
#12
Out of stock everywhere for me, still got some creadex from last time.

Just reserved 2 tubs of Pro Power Weight Gainer Vanilla 1.5Kg, total to pay £3.70 for 2, what's that about?

It's cheaper than ordering 1.

1 costs £3.73
2 costs £3.70
3 costs £7.43
4 costs £7.40
There's 4 more left in stock too.

Reserved 1 Vanilla Whey & 1 All-in-One Strawberry yesterday and picked them up this morning.

Just tried the whey before gym, 2 scoops whey/about 200ml skim milk/1 scoop dextrose/3 caps full of flaxseed oil, tasted rather nice just like ice-cream :) Best before is 2011 & 2010 for all-in-one, not bad for £7.47 good substitute for myprotein.
#16
What is the serving size?! 25g or 30g?
#17
30g serving. Info on the label.

Thanks.

This is a really poor % quality (62g per 100g) protein I would go for at least 80%, and the weight gainer 9g protein in 60gram of product, you're basically paying for incredibly cheap carbs in a bag with very little protein in it, not worth the money.
Go for something like this instead: http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/product.php/276/0/ and if you want to add carbs, blend some oats into it.
Although diet is more important than any supplement you take.
#20
I've heard that the vanilla flavour tastes like FEET!!

LOL.
#21
I wouldn't consider 62% protein as a whey protien shake to be fair, usually at least 80% is good for me!

If they are selling it this cheap you have to wonder what is in it!

Equally you could get this and get some of their L-Glutamine (which human muscle most readily takes up) and make your own more concentrated mix. The likes of Gaspari & Boditronics are only between 69% and 73% content. The carb content will be naturally occuring lactose, which is a basic sugar found in milk. Would you like to tell me what that 5-10g of protein in a day in real terms will make in muscle growth? Doubt you'd notice...
#23
So to a amateur what do these actually do to you do they make you do huge big turds?

I currently have the Pro Power fat burner tablets that i picked up from argos a few weeks ago, most people are indeed commenting that i have put weight on! lol thats the complete opposite of what i wanted to happen.

I dont think i have put weight on so maybe im just bloated out or something.
#24
For everyone who is wondering why there cheap its because the experation date on these are 11/2009. Also were £3.74 each last week but not buy one get one half price. Should have posted it to be honest, but it slipped past me.

The protein powder my fiance currently has is :

43g Protein per 50g serving.

This one is 18.6g per 30g serving.

But for this price he cant complain! Can he? :? lol (He is so fussy with his protein!)

Why buy this at all then! lol

Seems all out of stock in the entire Northwest. Still, it looks like a crappy product. 62%! I get more protein eating dust.

I got some of these the other day, ordered 2 and it said £4.99 for one, then £4.99 for two, when I got to Argos I couldn't order at the self serve as you have to be over 16years of age, went to the till and it was £7.48.
Its 18g of protein per serving, thats two heaped table spoons... People say its not enought protein, my mates a personal trainer, he said "Unless your a proper body builder you don't need rediculas amounts of protein, 36g a day is fine for the average Joe who goes to the gym".
So for people who say 18g is poor, don't listen to them, this stuff is worth the money aslong as your actually going to the gym and lifting weights, the proteins there to rebuild muscles.
#31
cant seem to get any of this in the preston area, not even on home delivery.....GUTTED

i wouldnt want him as my personal trainer 36g of protein a day lol if your a midget then maybe the average male needs triple that about 90-100g per day and if your training i say double that to get any gains.

18grams aint much i say throw in another scoop for abit more protein and always between meals for a good protein boost good price sold out in manchester :(

If you are having 60g of this you will get 36g of protein. 10g of L-Glutamine will give you 46g. More than enough for a majority of people. You DON'T need to spend £££££ on whey. Whey is whey. Use your noddle and you'll get plenty of protein cheaply.

I use plenty of quality proteins (currently using Gaspari and Boditronics) but make no mistake, whey is whey. These ****** extra's that companies put in to make it appear you are getting more is complete ****.

Voted Cold poor availability
